While I like my saturn and the beretta I just hate fixing them. Always a pain just to work around in there. That old 81 I can sit in the engine compartment and work on, plus no computer, few emissions, and a simple carb on top. Add to that the fact it doesn't matter if it gets a dent, enough power I towed the cabin in the pics, and was only 500 bucks with the plow and I gotta love it!

I like the 57 Mercedes; and the Grumman Kubvan is so ugly you gotta like it!

Nineball,

That might be a long time, I fell in love with this car when I was 14...took 16 years to save up, but I'll keep it in mind. Funny, when I first got it about 12 years ago, they were pretty easy to come by, now you don't see them listed often. I hear about them every once in a while, I'll keep you in mind. If you have any questions about them, feel free to contact me directly.

I would recommend to your dad, he register on this website The International 190 SL Group They are a great group of guys, much like here.

Here is one for sale. A bit of a trailer queen with only 33k miles but very nice none-the-less.
1959 190 SL for sale

My 'other' car...

My wife was bugging of late to replace my old '02 Honda Accord V-6 as it was leaking oil out of the trans at a not-quite alarming rate. The stain in the driveway was beginning to annoy me too. So, we started shopping a couple weekends ago. Toyota Camry's are very nice in the XLE V-6 guise for '12. I was also looking at Honda Accord coupes as an alternative.
On a whim we stopped at the local Honda dealer after a trip to LAX to drop off my in-laws and look what they just happened to have on the lot.
Previous owner was Honda Corporate, it only had 9600 miles on it and they were selling it as a Certified car no less. I couldn't have spec'd a more perfect replacement for my beloved 4-door, which I received with only 1.7 miles on the odo when new in '02. It was the best car I've ever owned, bar none, even with the leaky trans.
If this doesn't live up to that rep I'll be surprised.

Since I can't afford an NSX this'll have to do for now.

this badge makes this car worth the effort to own it.

It's a factory built hot rod.

The front suspension on mine is basically the same as a 356 if that is worth anything:

Believe me, if I lived somewhere that had no snow or harsh winters I would probably have another sports car. Current X5 & before that (yeah non-German X-type, I had a lapse ) boy, if I ever move to tropical weather I'll get an '80's Lotus Esprit or Jalpa or Mondial or? I gotta move...
