This is my "daily" driver...they one that takes me anywhere anytime (mostly surfing). It's also perfect to drive around LA...I could care less if you bumped into it.
![]() Here's the third Buick I have seen posted on this thread. 1987 Buick Grand National. (the fastest car produced in 1987...in a straight line, don't ask me to stop or turn)

Both have suspension mods of the '65 Shelby Mustang GT350 (which shares the Falcon chassis) and the Holman-Moody Monte Carlo Rallye Falcons, front disk, 9" rear ends, American Racing Torque Thrusts. Futura, original 260 C-4; Ranchero 351w, toploader. These two are '64's.
![]() The Ranchero will be for sale shortly, with a new steering box and P-S-T front end rebuild The inspiration. Commissioned by Henry Ford at the same time of the GT40 program, starting in 1963. Ford, Holman-Moody and Carroll Shelby prepped the rallye cars, starting with the round body Falcons. The Falcons kicked everyone's asses. http://westcoastfalcons.com/the-monte-carlo-falcons-part-1/

Picked up this a month or so ago to replace my Honda Accord (I know, that makes a ton of sense)
(photo taken before it got thousands of miles of dirt on it)

It makes perfect sense to me. Why waste your money and time in a car you could not care less about.

If I later decide I would like to have something else, fine, I can just sell it and buy something else. This is my other-other car. I have owned it since new.

![]() There's also an '04 325i with 215,000 miles which refuses to die (or give me any issues, really).

I've reached the point where dead solid reliability, comfort and good gas mileage are the most important things a car brings to my life. YMMV.

I know, what possibly could go wrong with a 160K Audi?
A3s are pennies on the dollar but replacing window regulators is not a fun job!I'm actually really enjoying this car that replaced my Cayenne Turbo as a daily driver. Jess
