I'm scheduled for about 4 weeks from today. I'm thinking of installing a flat screen in the bathroom between now and then. :)

C. diff ain't no fun. I had it after long term antibiotic use for my Crohn's Disease, bad scene.

I'm going to get a endoscopy and colonoscopy at the same time in a few months.

I an sooo awaiting downing the prep solution!

Squirt Happens.

Seventeen hours until my procedure. I am hungrier than heck and I've been to the pooper four times already. I've downed a half gallon of that sweet sickening laxative. Can't wait for this to be over!

targa911S 08-05-2015 05:53 PM

just wait until you let that fart after the procedure...LOL..It's wonder you don't fly around the room backwards>>>

The prep is the worst part....

Good luck, I see it as a necessary evil.
They found a large colon cancer in me 12 years ago at my first screening colonoscopy at 50. Stage 3a.
No symptoms. No family history. No nothing.
I am alive and healthy today thanks to colonoscopy.
Get yours.

Positive: you'll lose a few pounds.

Negative: afterwards, you'll be very tempted to eat a lot. Your stomach likely won't be ready!

targa911S 08-05-2015 06:19 PM

you will need to eat a big old porterhouse to clog it all back up again...

cantdrv55 08-05-2015 06:21 PM

I have a 10 hour round trip drive the day after my procedure. Is that going to be possible or will I have to pull over every 10 miles to poop?

targa911S 08-05-2015 06:23 PM

there will be no poop in the chute that is what the prep is all about. You may want to open the windows in the car though. You DO know they fill you up with air like a Macys parade clown balloon ..right?

cantdrv55 08-05-2015 06:28 PM

Lol, didn't know that!

pavulon 08-05-2015 06:46 PM

+1 except the vast majority of the pumped-in room air returns to your exterior within a couple of hours of procedure end-- and it's not sulfur-laden methane so not much smell (if any) presuming the gut prep worked as intended!!

colonoscopy prep - what a fun night

After my procedure the doctor came in and he said it was Doctors orders to fart as much as possible. He did NOT put a time limit on that. My wife thinks three years is stretching it but I want to be safe so I just let em rip. I can't be to safe! There must be a lot of air they pumped in there.

Rtrorkt 08-05-2015 08:17 PM

just wait for the michael jackson drug. for just a short time, its the 60's again

herr_oberst 08-05-2015 08:26 PM

Lucky me, I just had my first procedure, and they liked me so much that they said I'm on the three year plan!

Woot!

targa911S 08-06-2015 04:36 AM

My doc wouldn't do that! I said, "C'mon, I'm here, you're here, the camera is ready. Just make sure you do the endo first, OK?" He said no I have to come back for that.

pavulon 08-06-2015 06:33 AM

your doc is likely putting his wallet before your best interests.
