You guys didn't have bic lighters?
|
^^^ Yes...but the match books were required to play the 8 track tape.
The cartridge had a tendency to sag with it's weight....stuff the matchbook underneath...Voila! |
Riiiiight. I was thinking about the bong hits needed to really get the NUANCE of the words and the music. I forgot about needing to noodle around with the cartridge...
|
^^^ That also.

There is an 8-track only version of Animals, where Pigs on the Wing parts 1 and 2 are played back to back with Snowy White playing a killer solo between the two songs. I found it on YouTube years ago.

When Roger Waters departed Pink Floyd, he declared the band a "spent force." But for David Gilmour, the story wasn't over. What followed was one of the most bitter and high-stakes legal conflicts in music history: the battle for the iconic Pink Floyd name.
This documentary delves into the infamous schism, the multi-million dollar lawsuits, and the bold gamble of continuing the band without its chief conceptualist. Featuring the history behind the A Momentary Lapse of Reason album and the feud that divided fans, this film explores the fight for a legacy and asks the ultimate question: Who has the right to own a band's name? <iframe width="718" height="404" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/bvWctgAOYsY" title="David Gilmour Documentary - The Battle For Pink Floyd's Name" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
Next month I'll have the pleasure of seeing a tribute band called Brit Floyd for the third time. If you enjoy Pink Floyd's music and want to experience it played live with the accuracy and respect that it deserves, check out this band if you have the opportunity. You won't be disappointed...
