While responding to the funeral thread I was reminded of this film...one of my favourites on many levels.

After taking the first two summers off at college....I spent my first summer in school because there were a couple classes I needed to take before the fall quarter. Ended up rooming with 4 buddies from New Smyrna in a 3 bedroom apartment off campus. I spent a fair amount of time reading that summer - and went through the entire Robert E. Howard "Conan" series - I think it was about 11 paperbacks at the time. Epic reading - Howard was an amazing writer.

Years later the movie came out and I was of course delighted to see the character(s) come alive on the screen. Including 'Pipeline Master' Gerry Lopez.
