Wholly-smokes! That is a big boy! If that is your standard height dinner table in the background, he is huge....and handsome.

What bread is he? If he was ours, "Chewi" would have been considered.

We adopted Static almost 3 years ago.
We have been told he is a Briard (never heard of one before).
To us he is just Static.
High energy, high maintenance, and definitely a mind of his own.

The DOG thread

Yeah, I could see that. It's his way or the doggy door. He who is the size of a small rhino, makes the rules......

Static, I like it. Petting him would be a shocking experience is some parts of the US.

Hey all.....................sorry to bring this to a different level.............but I put my beloved Chow 'Roscoe P. Dawg' down yesterday. He was 11 - almost 12 and until recently led a happy and very healthy long life. I've had him since he was 12 wks old, raised from a pup which is what I've always done with my past dogs.

His heart was just giving out and it was time to do the right thing.........................which by no coincidence.........................always seems the most difficult tasks we can do.

He was by my side always, but off-putting, stubborn and defiant frequently as that is a Chow's nature. His stature and attitude was dominating the yard that he 'was responsible' for. He had moments of complete silliness, tenderness and love.

I just wanted to share this along with 1 of my favorite pics where he ' interrupted' a special evening we were having because he felt left out😉

The DOG thread

AG,

Sorry to hear of Roscoe P. Dawgs passing. Never an easy thing to do making the "right" choice for our four legged family. It's the memories and photos of his timely interruption of special nights that allow Roscoe to bring a smile to your face even in your time of grief, keeping his memory alive and well.

Henry and his humans

Sorry to hear about Roscoe, AG. Winkipop is the same age and while I'm trying to help with her arthritis...hard to say what the future holds.

Tough times for an owner. Very tough.

They mean so much to us.....
