My daughter in Orlando has a new dog, Charlie. Her first dog. It's a 4-year old Schnauzer mix. She got him from a shelter and it had been there for about a month. When he was brought in, his hair was horribly matted and they shaved him down. He's almost unrecognizable from his original photo. He had been tied up to a dog house and neglected. Now? He's living the life of luxury and trying to figure out his new-found freedom roaming the backyard and the swimming pool

The DOG thread
Bravo!!! Very luck little guy to have been rescued by your daughter.
Thanks for sharing a good news story. Side question for us non-Floridians. When the wife and I visited the region, we both were curious about the yard/pool enclosures. We do not see those on the Left-coast and was wondering the purpose. Little flying critter protection or BIG critter protection? We also noted that we didn't see any local stray animals either. Giving "trail-running" a whole new meaning I guess[emoji6] https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...8ec6b379d5.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

^^^ Cool nonchalant dog right there. lol ;)
Photo from Faceplant. Apparently these two dogs were in a shelter together. Seems legit. :( http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1494778886.jpg |

Thanks, Baz.
Was too tired to screw with it last night. Right side up on my phone, right side up on my camera and sideways on Pelican. How is a guy to keep whiskey in his coffee cup when it is 90 degrees from horizontal! http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1494850162.jpg Peps in New Denver last year. |
Apple photos have some sort of orientation coding in them that doesn't play well with non-Apple stuff. If you can run the photo through Photoshop or some sort of editor and "Save for Web." That seems to strip it of the "helpful" information.

What are they thinking about?http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1494871731.jpg

Can I eat it, drink it, or screw it and is it dangerous to me. |
Makes sense.

It's true. Your dog looks like the canine equivalent of the "grumpy cat." Probably really nice though.

to be scolded for. She LOOKS like she's grumpy and kinda not smart, but in fact she's VERY bright and extra loving just like a border collie mix should be. (When people ask her breed I say "she's a Borderline Collie) They mostly don't get it.. She's 15 (16 in Sept) so starting to slow down a bit. PS When I said above "never barks" that's the truth.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1495047811.jpghttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1495047867.jpg |

I think it was the way she was squinting in the pic that had the bright sunlight that made him comment that way. What a pretty girl. Ours was a rescue that didn't bark when we got her, but the little one quickly taught her that was just fine  Angel, not sure how she got into the shopping bag. 35# dog http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1495049204.jpg Sherlock living the hard life. 12#, long haired, double dapple mini wiener http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1495049204.JPG |
Yellowperil. At 15 she is very old for a dog. One reason I didn't get another cat or dog after my cat died at 20, was that I really take it hard when a pet passes away. She has no doubt given you years of love and you to her. Treasure her for the time left.
