My Golden Retriever, Gracie Mae, slept on the rug in front of a sofa in our great room ever since we moved into this house. Yesterday we moved the sofa to a different room, with different carpet, and put another sofa in the great room and left the same rug in front of it.
I assumed she would keep sleeping in the same room on the same old rug. Nope - she moved with the sofa. Makes no sense since all she did was lay up against this sofa, but who understands dogs.

my dog is "special"

i went for a jog/walk with Hank. when we got home i had to ring the doorbell to get my wife to let us in. he BARKED AT THE DOORBELL while we were the offending ringers..

what a DOOFAS!

Wow, that dog grew big!

The “secret” of fostering dogs is to realize that by getting them adopted by others saves a lot more dogs than if you just adopted it yourself. I rarely foster since my hours can be long, but when I have, I bring them to all the meet and greets and get lots of pictures up on the website so I don’t have them so long that I start to bond strongly.

Don't know how to correct this sideways image

Tobra 04-15-2018 06:17 AM

You just set the monitor on its right side, easy.

So the puppy is as big as the wife it turns out, both tip the scales at 105#, pup is a bit taller on his hind legs. Freaked them out at the vet a little. Thick dog is only 95#, but is significantly stronger. He still leads him around with the rope toy like he is dragging a balloon. First pic is last week 11 months old, second is last August at two months. He is literally 7 times the weight wow

Who knows GS dogs? German car site, so there has to be at least 5 of you. Puppy is the talkingest dog I have every seen, is that just how he is or how they are?

What I do is load the image into Photoshop and "save for web." That seems to strip off the nonsense that Apple puts in the image to control the image orientation.

So sorry to hear Derrick. What a beautiful pup.
RIP little one.

rwest 04-17-2018 02:41 AM

My condolences Derrick,

Been there and it was tough- so many good times with a dog that their passing is so hard.

masraum 04-17-2018 04:12 AM

He's a beautiful little pup. My condolences. It hits close to home as one of ours is a long haired dachshund.

Baz 04-17-2018 04:42 AM

Sorry to hear, Derrrick.

Little Jax is now running free of pain......

billybek 04-17-2018 04:47 AM

Sorry to hear of the loss of your pup, Derrick.
Those furry little creatures work their way under our skin and into our hearts.
I know Jax will be missed.

Thank you guys. It's surprising how depressing it is to loose a dog.
I almost want to slap myself. But this morning when he wasn't there to clean the egg yoke off my plate was sad.
