This is good for a few minutes entertainment: Dog Scanner app. Yes, scan a dog with your phone and it tells the breed or mixed breed. Our purebred Schnauzer was not much of a test. But my daughter scanned her mixed breed and results were shockingly close to a DNA test she had done.

The kitty leaves behind a slug trail of hair.
Hacking up hairballs. What a mess. Freaking me out. Changing foods regularly and watching for changes.
A little brushing made quite the difference.

I brush him outside every day. But I am talking about a Golden Retriever - lotsa fur! And he's 105 lbs. - lotsa, lotsa fur.

Had an Aussie years back that likes to get vacuumed. I attached a home made brush head and would brush/vacuum at the same time.

Worked in our case but all depends how the puppers reacts to noise.

Owen Walter was feeling a little urpy this morning - vomited three times and was very lethargic. It didn't stop him from going on our morning walk out to feed the chickens, but something wasn't right. He has had pancreatitis, so we weren't talking any chances - off to the vet on Saturday morning.



The check-in desk has this electric candle and sign. I always get a little weepy when I see it, thinking of what it signifies for people and their pets



Owen is OK, no bad pancreas enzymes so it's probably some piece of crap he's eaten. Maybe too many cherry tomatoes and acorns or something.
As I was paying the bill I saw the candle and I guess I got little weepy again. The receptionist asked if I was OK, is Owen OK?. I told her yes everything's fine, I always cry when I get out the Amex card.

So DirecTV is giving us a free preview of the DogTV Channel.

I tune in with great anticipation thinking "wow, finally a channel just for dog lovers!!!".

I was wrong.

This is actually a TV Channel FOR DOGS TO WATCH.

A little disappointed, but after a few minutes, I did get the urge to run out to the back yard and pee on a tree...
