^^^ You sure:cool:

Beautiful dog, btw.

Snows gone, expecting an inch or two tonight (so is Mrs. Hawk) so I took the new gal for a walk an hour or so ago:

I have no idea what breed of dog she is, I am just delighted she is here.

Mutts are always the best dogs.

Best dog I have ever known was some stray my brother picked up on the side of a very busy road during rush hour. Smart as hell, I swear if he could hold a pencil he could have written me a note.

Dottie alert!

Sorry, folks.

Long run around the farm this afternoon...just at freezing which is, for me with the wind, a good temp. Oh, I drove the Ranger, Dottie ran.

Duh.

End of the hour, left turn to home. First a dog plunge. The Swans are amused.

Love the Dottie pics, Paul - keep 'em coming! What a fantastic property for a dog - probably thinks she's in heaven!

All other posts are great - all doggies wonderful to see.

Keep 'em coming - no such thing as too much! :)

Well that is exactly right. This thread is why I invented the interwebs.

To paraphrase one of my favorite quotes, again: "The light and space of Vietnam really put the zap on her head."

The first few weeks here were like freshman coed dorms in college...she was all over the map.

Are they? This is green for a reason, don't take it seriously.
Lots of love for Heelers here.
Same for Corgis.
But when you mix them, what do you get?
You get one of my grand-dogs. Cinder. Originally short for Cinderella, her mom now says it is short for cinder block. She's dense.
One blue eye, one brown eye, the bent ear, goofiest dog I've ever seen.

She was a rescue from Texas, she is also called the "Texas Tornado" when she gets riled up.

Dottie as well. Our Red Heeler died last year after 17 years with us...another rescue that worked.

I had never heard of them prior to getting Cassie but a woman than worked for me in those days was heavily involved in Greyhound rescue. Cassie was part of a three dog deal: Take Cassie or the deals off.

The woman brought Cassie over on a rainy day and the next 17 years were amazing.

So, we went looking for another Heeler and Dottie was on a rescue board for Heelers. My daughter went and took a look and said that D wasn't really a classic Heeler but was as cool, kind and smart.

They find you.
