Big turned 17 last week and, sadly, he is on his way out. He has had trouble drinking so I got a large syringe and feed 50ml of water directly into his mouth a few times a day. Works well. Plus he licks a bit up from his water bowl.

Next he started not eating. He likes me fussing over him so this morning we "slole" a couple of small tins of cat food from Rhineheart, and I hand fed him the wet mushy food. And he's really perked up with more food in him. Last night I hand fed him small cubes of steak. So we are buying one day at a time.

When he is good he looks great, but when he doesn't look good I know he is on borrowed time.

What a pretty girl!

Thanks, she's awesome. "Aggressively affectionate," I would say. And a good friend to my other two.

"Hey Dog. It could be worse. They could be learning the bagpipes."

The cat would sometimes walk around the block or three on the sidewalk with us. Sometimes he would turn back if it was too busy.

One day, we went way way down to the river and spent some time there in the woods. Good day.
There were other cats which came out to their lawn and did their turf thing.

On the last block home the cat would run ahead of us.
I'd give him about halfway there head start.
After strict heel across the street I'd whisper to dog "Where's the kitty?" and let him off the leash.
[initiate: Full Beagle mode] ArArArArArAr.

Dog would catch up and give kitty a sniff.
That cat was once so gentle to him as a wild young pup.

I noticed on my dog collar GPS app that a local dog Pepper is following one of my dogs. Cracks me up. We’re following Pepper now as well.

Sorry to hear, Bill. You are now entering the toughest days of 4-legged companionship. Give your boy a hug or 10 from us, please.....:)
