This is Cowboy. He lives at the parent's with 9 other Aussies. When Henry visits, we take his crate. I guess Cowboy likes it too. How a 65 pound dog can cram himself into a 15 pound Schnauzer's crate is beyond me...... I think he likes the solitude from the chaos.

It's been about 15 months since we lost Chip. We are fostering/adopting these two. The little gray female was born at the rescue barn, she's shy so her buddy gives her confidence - a very nice pair of sweethearts. First night here tonight!

I agree Don. That was a large, almost arrogant, assumption based on two photos. I've been dealing with wayward, dominant, and reentry dogs for 30 years. I didn't perceive any indication from those pictures that those dog's can't make great companions.

FWIW I do applaud the fact that you were actually trying to use some kind of canine behavior sociology to point out your observations. The fact that they may or may not have been appropriate is another aspect but I wish more dogs owners understood pack mentality and what their role as pack leader should be.
