I sure enjoy looking at all the beautiful pets that are posted on this site and to see how well they are taken care of and one can see the love in their eyes. I took my little guy Blaze, a 6 month old JRT, in today for his neutering. Hated to do it but, it is the best one can do for their pet unless they want to breed them of which I have no desire. So, tonight my wife and I are treating our little treasure with kid gloves. Worst part of it is having the cone on his head and he appears miserable. After what he went through I guess we would too. But, a couple of days and he will be back to pretty much normal if there is a normal for a JRT.

My Colbicheese, (Colbi), had an accident yesterday. Playing hallball somehow she severely lacerated her front top gum. She bled so much she had to spend the night because she became anemic. My new company car had blood all over it. I was able to clean it up, mostly on the plastic. She's fine now. But she had to have 7 stitches put in. I got to pick her up this afternoon. Here's a pic at the vets. Her tongue is so red from the blood.

Buckterrier: if there's blood left on a colorfast surface then hydrogen peroxide will likely lift it with a gentle scrub brush. If not colorfast then cold plain club soda and more elbow grease. Sorry your pup got hurt!

First, I'm sorry about your pooch Mark

Has everybody read "The Art of Racing in the Rain", by Garth Stein. I apologize if it's been discussed earlier in the thread...But this is a MUST read for dog lovers and Porsche enthusiasts.

The book was written by a race car diver's dog. Sounds weird, but it is a fantastic book.

Thanks guys for the well wishes and the tip. She ate last night but won't eat this morning and I've got to get an antibiotic in her, every 12 hours.

I have to get a copy of that book. It has been discussed before but it's a nice reminder Craig.

Hey Mark - sorry to hear of Colbi's accident - hoping for a quick recovery!

I've used cream cheese or pimento spread to get a pill down my girls' throat when necessary.

You can also use peanut butter but it's a bit messier.

Give her a belly rub from the girls, please.

Best,
Baz

American cheese slices or even better easy cheese in a can. (What I do with my own dogs and what I learned in the small animal ICU 22 years ago). Hope she feels better soon. If she's really off her food, call your vet.
