Guinness is one handsome distinguished looking grad!! Great pic.

Sir Henry is visiting/sleep-over at the parent's ranch while we're out of town. We get a picture update of Henry. It's immediately obvious that JR is really showing signs of separation anxiety..........NOT!

This is Mary, my DIL's latest pit bull rescue. DIL works full time for us now and brings her rescues that can't make it through the day alone to the office with her. Having these puppies around has been such a joy for the whole staff.
Mary is 3 1/2 weeks old and only weights 2 pounds. When she was born her mother delivered her 9 siblings but was too exhausted or something, Mary was left in the womb and had to be removed via surgery.
Her siblings are all twice as heavy as Mary. She was diagnosed as "failure to thrive" and wasn't expected to survive. DIL said, "We'll see about that!" Through DIL's near constant care Mary is now putting on weight, plays, chews on my nose, roots through my hair and beard, and is a total delight to have around. She's going to be fine now.

Thanks Baz!

Big day(scary vet day) from his point of view for Sir Henry. Picked him up last night from the parents ranch and then today off to the vet for surgery, shook like crazy. Have a huge/odd looking mole removed from his side that's been growing bigger and bigger and our vet did not like the look of it. Almost named it since it was one of "those" moles.

On a early morning walk this morning. That's Missy on his left. We dog nap her when Henry has a sleep over with the herd. She will get the spa treatment then go back home next week. Makes her feel special.

^^spoiling is a good thing...[emoji2]

Thanks Dan,

Our vet is the bomb! We picked Henry up an hour ago. The poor little guy was put through the ringer today. 16 "huge" staples along his side because she had to remove so much tissue to remove the "mole". It was much bigger than thought and she didn't like the look of it. So off to the lab it has gone for biopsy. His teeth were cleaned with 5 needing to be pulled. Luckily they were the itty bitty ones(schnauzer) scale located on the lower jaw between the K9's. Adopting an older puppers is always a gamble. At the tune of $1100.00, we hope he will be ok. She is nervous on the tissue being biopsied which has us a bit nervous.

With our last pup (Snap), she popped her staples out on the second or third night. They had to go in there again because it was already healing. Not a good thing. I had a thread about her. " My dog has cancer"

That picture is hilarious Bugs. What's in that bowl, vodka? :D

It's 4:30 and I up with little Mary. Her "grandma" and I are taking care of her for a day to give DIL a break. Her routine is - eat, short nap, play, pee, poo, play, long nap, whine, repeat - on about a 3 hour cycle, with lots of random whining to be picked up and cuddled. Grandma took the first shift and I've been up since 2 AM on the second shift. It's about time for the "I'm hungry" whine to begin. I'm going to teach her to lay on the sofa and watch football this afternoon.

Hemmy, 8 year old Border Collie from a dear friend and brother to our Dog Heylo, was diagnosed with cancer today.
This news hit us very hard. No time left to start a treatment. :(

It feels very unfair to have to say goodbye from such a sweet and gentle creature.

Hemmy (top) and his sister in crime Heylo (below)

Hemmy,
You will be missed dearly.
Godspeed.

Oh G, so sad. :(

8 years is never long enough.

Baz 11-23-2015 05:11 AM

Sorry to hear this sad news, Geronimo.....8 years is entirely too young for such a good boy as Hemmy.

Bentley's glowing for you here.... :(

She is back at home with her siblings now. She'll be monitored to make sure she is holding her own, but she is a tough little cookie and I think she'll be fine. If not, we'll have her back for some fattening up.
