Busy week for motorcycle stuff here. I had two deliveries w/4 motorcycles total plus bins and bins of spare parts.
The delivery on Thursday was from the owner of a very reputable global motorcycle product company. I mean everyone knows their brand. The owner himself brought the goods and he also brought along his trusty co-pilot, "Franklin". "Franklin" is an Old English Sheepdog. I think their 5th one. He was very chill. That made my day as well! http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1752975332.JPG |

Ha, James when a dog learns to do "cuties" that's when they have total control.

Thanks for the kind words on the video mthomas58, Baz, and Seahawk. Hazel is a wonderful dog who always requests the 911 for errands...

My guys also like going in the 911 because it always goes somewhere interesting. Strange mask the person is wearing.

^^^ LOL .... I have been thinkin' about getting a GSD poopie....
I prolly shouldn't have visited this thread :D edited: Never had a dawg that even noticed fireworks, storms, etc. Two recent "mild" thunderstorms have put Moka (5.5 yr Lab) into a hyper breathing, pacing, anziety mode state.... a new one for me. Don't have a clue why this is so ... now. |
That gave me the giggles Steve.

Jacob Schmitt has been hunting all his life with his dog Buddy by his side. A little over a week ago, Schmitt was looking for deer in the Uinta Mountains when he realized the trail he was on was unstable and his side-by-side vehicle started to tip. Helen Keller had a lifelong relationship with many dogs. It's an interesting story. This one is Et Tu:

There's a blue heeler at my local Humane Society and I would love to get him. However, I just adopted this pup a month ago and he's running me ragged. You see how those two look like they are scheming? They are!

Pup had her 12 week checkup and shots the other day. Vet mentioned she was very well muscled, must be getting lots of exercise. Yes indeed. She loves the 1/4 mile walk around our marsh and is responsible for the increased activity of our 8 yo border collie.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1755375429.jpg
Worked hard, gotta nap. |
Any other pictures of this pup, Les?

Peps crossed the rainbow bridge tonight. It was her 15th birthday and International Dog Day. We had a wonderful last summer together. She spent 51 consecutive nights with me in the travel trailer touring through BC's East and West Kootenays and Boundary Country. I'm going to miss her in the passenger seat of the truck just staring at me as I drive through the countryside. She was still walking 3-4 km a day with me right up to last week. She had some sort of seizure and was making a hell of a noise in the back yard. When I rushed out to help her she bit my face resulting in several deep puncture wounds. She wasn't herself and I didn't take that into consideration when trying to get her out of her situation. I have dreaded this day coming for quite some time and now that she has passed I feel very much at peace with her leaving us. I will miss her terribly. Goodbye beautiful dog! |
So sorry for your loss. She was a beautiful girl and smart too, you can see it in her face. 15 years is a good run for a pup, I hope I'm that lucky
|
Rest in Peace, Peps. She looks like she was a great dog!
|
Bill, Peps will live inside you and know that you gave her a great life. Many of us have been there and some will be there again.

What a lovely dog with the perfect name.
Soybeans are big this year. Dottie isn't small and I couldn't track her without watching the beans move. She is coming out on the small bean section: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1756417829.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1756417829.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1756417829.jpg Billy, again, my condolences tinged with the knowledge that you both knew what a good deal you both had. |

My first was a red. Incredible dog. Some say they have calmer personalities than the blues. Will have another someday, but they’re kind of hard to come by. |

Thanks Baz and all for the condolences. She truly was a special dog,
The day after she had passed, I was walking back to where I had parked the truck and could see an older lady walking a large dog about a full city block ahead of me. For whatever reason that dog went full stop and waited for me to catch up. Maybe Peps told him to check on me for her.... Another small coincidence. I checked my watch when she left us and saw that it was 7:35pm. 7+3+5 = 15 years. She turned 15 that day. We are potentially looking at a border collie rescue that is the same age as our Russ. |
