nice dogs!!

i like the pics of actual dogs that we own. the Memes, not so much. (just me)

my dog and i have really bonded. for the first year(s?) he has only looked at me as the dude that fed him and picked up his turds. he was "okay" with me. when my wife showed up, his entire body wags.

now? he is getting on the Vash program. it's kinda nice.

I'm so sorry for your loss, Tom. I hope she didn't suffer too much. I know she had a great life - I can tell by those pics she knew she was loved each and every day. What more is there in life?

BTW, good friends of mine had a Black Lab named "Lady" and she was their companion for quite a few years. That name has stayed with me through the years as very special.

Met Bishop in the lobby of the hotel while on a work deployment. One ball of affectionate fluff.

Took 12 pic just to get 2.5 marginal ones since he couldn’t sit still, high energy little guy.

This one made my laugh

Bishop owns a very nice couple. I happen to be getting a bag from the car when I heard the distinct schnauzer bark/howl/talk. Had to investigate and was pleasantly surprised. Made me miss Sir Henry

Sage is beautiful. We have been trolling the local County Animal Shelters. First time we have been without cats and dogs, at least affectionate ones. We still have an outside cat that is a total arse. Need meds and welding gloves for a trip to the vet with him.

Awww.. what a lovely dog. I bet she was happy with all the years she spent in your family. If in case that you will be having a new dog (new member of the family) I suggest that you get her/him one of these dog supplies like houses, beds, cage, toys, clothing and other things that will make your dog happier.

So very sorry to hear of the loss of Lady and Sir Henry. Our four footed friends become so near and so dear that their loss leaves us utterly bereft. If we didn’t love them so and them, us, it would be so much easier.

The DOG thread

Went to the son n d-law’s for thanksgiving in their first home. Their one year old and the youngest son’s family’s six month old daughter was too much for these two. Had to retreat to the crate....all on their own....I kinda felt like joining them

The DOG thread

This pic is of an owner reunited with his lost buddy during the Camp Fire here in Northern CA.

Came across it and had to share. There are so many more that haven’t been reunited yet.

Thanks, Bugs. The relationships we forge with our furry companions are so heartfelt - it's hard to put into words.

Best to you and yours....

I need some advice -

One of the local rescues has a hound mix, and she's adorable. They got her at 5 weeks old, raised her in a house with lots of other dogs, she's now about 6 months old and ready to go to a forever home. We're haven't had a hound before, and the foster mom says she's vocal, and also yodels in the morning. Is this going to drive us nuts? Also, what's your best guess of her breed? She's small, maybe 25-30 pounds right now. I think she might get to 50 pounds full grown. The only black on her is her tail.

She is adorable!
Just go get her....

Side note.
Anyone watching "Dogs" on Netflix?
Watched 3 episodes and have enjoyed them.

She looks like a sweetheart. Maybe the only way to find out if she's going to be a problem is to take her home and see how she behaves in a different environment. It would be nice to rescue her if she wasn't too much trouble. You might have to have an agreement to be able to return her if it doesn't work out. I don't know if there's training that would help with that or not. She might just outgrow it.

Here's some bloodhound scenes from Best in Show. Christopher Guest cracks me up!

No bloodhound content, but still funny:
