This Siberian was by my side for almost 15 years... He adopted me while I was working on the Manhattan Bridge.... He hung around the trailers, so I put out water and food , he started staying in the yard, and sleeping under the trailers...
One day I threw him in the back of my truck and brought him to a vet to be checked out... He was healthy but filthy, no chip... Got him some shots, took him home and gave him a few baths... After that he accompanied me almost everywhere...Whenever I brought him to Vermont in the winter... he would run around in the snow for hours..... checking in to make sure I was ok and grabbing some food, then begging to get back out in the snow...

My new little guy, Loki. Black Lab, German Shep, Terrier mix. He has some bichin brindle markings on all four paws, and splashes under his chin and on his chest along with a little blaze. So far, he's living up to his name in style.
And a picture with the old man, Hamlet. ![]() ![]()

Well, that was strange. Pictures are fine when I open them up but, when posting, they are rotated... Oh well.

Well, on my phone they look fine as well but, on my Big Mac, they's rotated.
![]() Anyway, thanks everyone. He was meant to be I think. Hamlet's sister Portia left the planet back in August and that was really tough on my wife. Thought we going to lose Hamlet as well, he went into a serious funk. Loki was one of eight pups in a litter up for adoption at our SPCA and all eight got adopted in a day and a half. We got lucky, I decided to work from home on a Friday and my wife texted me to check them out on the website. She had gone down there to look at em on her lunch and told me to high tail it down there. They wouldn't let her adopt without meeting me. By the time I got down there 4 were already adopted. By the time we left with Loki, only one pup was left. They were all good looking, healthy dogs. Mom is a purebred black lab that got impregnated by mistake. We ran a DNA kit on him to find out the dad's lines,, The Brindle had us intrigued.+
