33 year anniversary
Happy Anniversary, Sherry and I eloped to Las Vegas 33 years ago, I was 21 years old and Sherry 23. We gathered up our spare change and headed to John Wayne Airport, flew to Vegas, checked into the old Alladin Hotel, went downtown to get the license. The Candlelight wedding chapel across from Circus Circus where we were married for $40.00.

One side note, I had to borrow the money from my bro in law, he owned the concession stand at Oneil Park so he gave me a lot of coins, which I paid the airline tickets with. The OC Sheriffs approached us at the ticket counter and thought we were runaways

Back to the Alladdin, it was fairly nice back then before they blew it up. We had already consummated our marriage, so I went downstairs and gambled, they had $1 tables back then, Sherry went Ni NI.

Congrats. My wife and I just had our 25th on the 22nd. I was a PFC, she worked and put me through college, then I went to OCS and then put her through college. Now I'm a LTC, she's an RN; we both have advanced degrees, two great kids. She is my partner and friend in all things.

Wow 33 years...CONGRATS! We just celebrated our 18th this month and looking back it has been wonderful. Hard and trying yes...but wonderful none the less.

29 for me. We got married in LV also to qualify for a VA home loan, then really got married in LA with all the pomp and circumstance. Her parents never knew. I still get her motor going several times a week.

There's a good ap called "Marriage Timer". According to it, my wife and I are 33 years, 9 months and 24 days together on our way to forever. She's the best thing that ever happened to me!
