Remington 1903. 30-06 above.
Adjustable ring sight at the rear.
Maybe a WW2 war barrel with shorter aftermarket stock put on later on. IDK.
It says Remington, but from what I understand all the war rifles were Springfields.
And I've read that Springfield Arms of today is not associated (in any way whatsoever) with the original Civil War-WW2 company.

Winchester Model 61 .22LR pump below.
Some internet pics have the scope further forward.

I had a Remington made 1903A3 that was built in 42 and rebarreled in 44
I got it with that barrel as good as new..I think it must have gone to arsenal and never used a second run during WW2

I used it for mostly 600 yds shooting in UK, and once shot it to 900 yds (past the elevation range with holdover), prone, sling, no support and was in the black for 10 shots with 4 V bulls..

At 600 yds laying next to a friend shooting scoped 6.5 mm AI rifle.. He'de be shooting Vbull after Vbull.. and I would just circle around his shots with iron sights and just my sling..

It had a great trigger and clearly the WW2 barrels were very good

That's not the sling i used , had a 1907 newly made by Moore Leather in UK, made to be period correct
That's the only rifle i regret selling

1860 Colt Army made in 1863. This was my grandfather's. My cousin gave it to me last deer season, I needed to replace a couple screws, a spring, the nipples and fit a trigger.

It shoots pretty nicely. :D

I have one of the PTR32 rifles that I bought probably 5 or 6 years ago, right when they hit the market (I think). After shooting it for a while, I decided that I liked it well enough to get rid of my AR15! Great sights, excellent action (roller lock like the STG44), uses cheap AK47 mags and uses probably the cheapest ammo on the market. What's not to like? Plus, they are made in the good ole US of A in South Carolina! I keep the rifle and a couple of loaded 30 rd mags "just in case". Of late, I have been thinking about the 60 rd drum mags that are on the market. Can't decide if I want one of them or 10 more regular mags! Anyway, you done good, Tabs. Hope you enjoy your rifle as much as I have mine.

PS, If you disassemble the bolt for cleaning, you will need a large pair of channel lock pliers to re-set the rollers. The spring that holds them in the locked position is quite strong!

It's modern day Browning cashing in a bit on the legacy and reputation of one of the most famous battle implements of all time - the Browning Automatic Rifle. It was designed by John Moses Browning towards the end of WWI as a full automatic capable heavy rifle / light machine gun in .30-'06 caliber. It was kind of the precursor to the Squad Automatic Rifle, and was used as such through the Korean War. It's a big, heavy piece of equipment that earned a sterling reputation.

The modern BAR is a semi-automatic hunting rifle, and widely acknowledged as one of the best of its kind ever made. It's kind of odd that Browning chose to assign it such a revered name, since it really needs no such cheesy marketing. It stands quite well on its own.

I have a hunting BAR I use for jumpy white tail. I enjoy shooting it and since it came from a family member after he passed I will never sell it.

Thank you, Jeff, for your response! Very helpful, as are all your posts. You as well, 911boost! ...

Just ordered a new toy, a Crossman BMPWX. For those of you that don't know what a BMPWX is, it is a CO2 powered AR15 lookalike BB gun. What makes this BB gun special, you ask? Well, it can be fired in semi auto mode or full auto mode! Firing rate is approximately 1400 rounds (well, after all, a BB is round!) per minute! And, it comes with a red dot sight! All the squirrels in my yard are just going to love this baby! Oh, yeah, I bought one for my (37 year old) son for Christmas also! Let the BBs fly!

Star Wars/steam punk inspired Blaster type thing in 22lr (yes, real AR parts other than bolt group and barrel)

Still pondering on a muzzle device (that A2 is just on for the pic). Don't think I'll add a hand guard. In the tradition of storm troopers not being able to hit shiat there are no sights on it - but if I hold it just right I can align the rail and be fairly dead on at 25 yards, and keep it in a 4" group. Will probably end up with some rail adapters that take low profile Glock sights.

Regarding the Crossman BMPWX - How long does the CO2 charge last on full auto? Is that just a regular CO2 capsule?

Anyone care to guess what this spoon is?
(Hint: it isn’t a Browning Hi-Power - those don’t have a safety / decocker. )
