Friend of mine just finished this from an 80% lower. He’s still learning how it shoots, got a pretty decent group after about 50 rounds of dialing in scope and barrel break in. Not a bad first trip out.

Will eventually have a thermal optic for wild hog population control in south Texas.

Son has a friend who got caught doing something he shouldn't... so no spoons for him.

They are all at my house now, I'm selling most of them off for him but I bought these 2 immediately.

Mossberg 500 in 410, 26" fixed full choke barrel
Western Auto store brand version of the Mossberg 500 in 12ga, 26" modified barrel

Both basically new with a lot of handling marks and time and dust from being knocked around in the back of a closet. My Mossy 500 12ga is old heavily used and almost abused, it is the first gun I bought 40 years ago and I've put thousands of rounds thru it. Thinking of doing a internal rebuild using the store brand guts and then selling off the store brand

Shotguns. I should get this thing out again. It's a Benelli M2 12g semi auto. It came with a range of chokes but all I've ever used is modified. I'm quite good on the trigger. When I let rip it sounds like full auto LOL

A Faceplant friend who lives in the UK posted this earlier today.

It's a ".25 cal Karma EQ PCP rifle".

That air rifle has some interesting design features (I had to go look that one up). Not a "pretty" rifle by any means, but some impressive function.

Back a few years, before I had to stop teaching evening classes, I would have students from India working on their masters in software engineering. They would tell me about hunting monkeys with a 30 or 40 caliber air rifle. One shot...one kill as we say but those very high pressure air rifles pack a hell of a punch.

Here's an "indoor" 10 meter air rifle I spent 3 months getting back into championship form.

Interesting gun but the reviewer was annoying. Shut it down less than half way through the video.

Yes he can be annoying but his skill level is incredible. He runs a gun range for Hollywood actors.

There are lots of A list celebrities going through their paces on his YouTube channel (Keanu Reeves, Halle Berry etc).

His control looks great until you realize he is using power puff loads.

Yeah, the late great Col Cooper nixed that nonsense right out of the gate when he helped found IPSC (International Practical Shooting Conference) in the 1960's. He developed a "power factor" which, if your loads did not meet, ten ring hits only counted for eight points. Huge incentive to "make major".

The whole idea was, after all, "practical shooting". Real defensive loads in real defensive guns. It was a great idea. Then the gamesmen stepped in with their "race guns" and dangerously over loaded .38 Supers and ruined the whole thing, as they are wont to do.

After watching that i feel like dusting my Benelli M2 off and actually using the thing. Pistol club said no more shotguns so I'd need to drive a bit further to play with it.

I used to own an old but buttery smooth Mossberg 500. I handed it in during the gun amnesty and buy back.

- The cut through the action with a cold saw as soon as I handed it to them.

I don't mean to get political but hang on to your guns gents.
