Having Transition as a local bike manufacturer and Galbraith Mt right behind my house is a beautiful thing. To me at least. I'm completely chuffed.

My wife has that exact bike. She was riding a Electra Towne, but I got her the Fuji to speed her up & it helped. Her only complaint is that there's not a lot of padding on the flat bars. I got her some padded gloves. It's not heavy.

Has she ever tried these? I put a pair on my commute bike and in spite of my reservations, I absolutely love them.

She hasn't complained since I got her the $15 gloves, but I will keep it in mind.

BTW, I'm taking my 15 year old son & a couple of his friends to Silver Mt Resort next week for a couple days of down hill MTBing, so stoked. We did it last year during a wedding. We rented bikes & I thought it was just as fun as the dirt bikes. This year we have our own bikes. Primary concern is safety.

I have a version of these grips (black) on my new Ironhorse 3.2 Warrior 29" MTB. I didn't go to a bike shop, and bought this bike from a big box store. The best one they had with dual disc brakes, full suspension, and Shimano trigger shift.

For light trail use, and cruising park trails, and campgrounds this is truly a step up from my former cheapo MTB.

sc_rufctr, that Colnago is pure bike artistry! Any more pics and the story on this bike?

Updated with a saddle & new tape. Contemplating hydraulic brakes or a wheelset.

Crashed the Super Six Evo after the rear stay broke. Fell into an amazing deal from my local dealer on this 2018 version complete with Sram Red E-tap (which I love on my tri bike). Hoping Cannondale comes through on their lifetime frame warranty and I can sell that one. I loved my first EVO but this one is even better.

Don't mind the home renovation going on in the picture... :)

My new IronHorse 29" Warrior 3.2 with dual disc brakes, 24 speed shimano Acera derailleur. I added a Scwinn lightweight rack, a speed/distance computer, new lock on grips, and a padded seat for my tired old butt.

A quality big box store bike, and a big upgrade from my 15 year old MTB.

How did you break it?

Jeff Alton 08-11-2018 09:27 PM

Not sure! Drive side rear stay is cracked. Not sure if it cracked and caused the derailleur bracket to break or the other way around. Pedaling about 50m before crash and it skipped a tooth, coasted into turn at 30km/h started pedaling and rear wheel locked up tossing me on the road...

Schrup 08-12-2018 07:18 AM

That's scary, glad you didn't break any bones. Good luck with Cannondale, any pics of the failure?

I went to DirtFest a few months ago and here are me and my buddies (who all happen to ride Ibis Mojos) at the Ibis demo tent. Met this dude in the red hat. He's Scot Nicol, the founder of Ibis! Totally cool dude. Chill, down to earth. And my bike, the blue one, is color coded "917" in the Ibis catalog. I asked him why it's called that and he confirmed my suspicion- he said, "there's this race car......"

Holy moley. That's every road biker rider's worst dream. Glad you got up and walked away. Love the new bike, too.

Jeff Alton 08-15-2018 06:41 PM

Thanks!

Warranty claim denied.... They think the derailleur hit it and cracked it... Might well be what happened. Offered me 20% discount on a new frame. No thanks. I will get this one repaired for less than 500 by folks that specialize in carbon bike repair.
