Here is my gravel grinder that I have been loving for the past year. Not the best out there but for the groupset and all around capabilities I have managed. Have done 30 mile group rides and have ridden in the mud and sand.
Running 46/36 with 11-32. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1525814330.jpg |
^ What make/model is that? Looking for a “gravel bike” also. But need to sell a steel roadie first.

Picked this up from the dealer today. Orbea Occam TR LTD. Left the flats on it for the first ride. Been awhile since I rode without being clipped in.. I soon remembered I like the control clips give me. Put my crank brothers candies on it as soon as I got it home. Fun light trail bike. Feels a lot like my old Santa Cruz Carbon Blur, but rolls much nicer over our rocky trails on 29" wheels. Orbea headquarters are in Little Rock. Bikes are made in Spain.

Shipped a bike out with me on this business trip. Rode some of the Minnesota Central Lakes Trail starting in Fergus Falls, MN. Absolutely one of the most beautiful rides I have ever taken....

Darned "Buy it now" button is just too easy.
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1529269809.jpg Some cheapie remake. Not original- and I don't care. I've always wanted redline "type" cranks. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1529269809.jpg A 490 mm seatpost, which I desperately need. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1529269970.jpg 15 tooth shimano dx bmx cog. My 44-16 is a bit too low on the flats. I'm going to try 44-15 and see how it works for midlife crisis cruising. Too chickens#$ for 44-14 right now. LET THE SHIPMENT TRACKING BEGIN!!!!!! |

my complaint about the ad listed HAS NO WEIGHT listed others give a shipping weight inc the box and packing but no bike only weight I recently weighed my gary fisher 26 MT at 24.5 lbs with RS judy swaped on my kid got a alloy road bike with carbon fork that weighed 29 lbs ? I expected it to be far lighter my 30+ year old alan weight is 19 lbs [screwed and glued alloy] with mostly campi bits weight matters but few new bikes list weight |
I would buy used
as bikes value falls quickly like a new car and you can ride it to see if it fits you |
My new ride as of 10 minutes ago.
Having Transition as a local bike manufacturer and Galbraith Mt right behind my house is a beautiful thing. To me at least. I'm completely chuffed. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1529611186.jpg |
