actually the wheels are a great value. great all around wheel, considering price, weight, aero, and durability. the darker blue bike/wheels are 8yrs old and have seen a few miles off road. they are still true.

What's current market on those wheels? Was recently offered a moots wearing those and not sure how fair the price was.

I buy and sell a fair number of used bikes. Those wheels trade for 375 on average, obviously some sales higher and lower..

Campagnolo Croce d'Aune Delta Brakeset

So this guy has a set of Campy Delta Brakes.....good price. If anyone is near or in Ohio and wants them, go for it.

He told me he won't sell to me because I'm form CA and I was rude to him by asking him if he wanted to sell or not when he didn't reply after two days....

I was gonna send him 30 pizzas at 2am but I changed my mind.

Watching Milan San Remo on EuroSport - miserable conditions, cold and wet as hell, had to bus around snowy roads on mountain incl tunnel and Manie climb, riders abandoning right and left. At 7% body fat, I can only imagine how frozen they are. OPQS has lost all contenders except . . . Cavendish (possibly growing up in the Isle of Mans, having a bit more BF, and considerably less body surface area, is a good thing today) but he only has two teammates to pace him. Boonen, Goss, Chavenel out. Break being pulled back pretty steadily.

[add] Break hitting the first climb now, remember Turchino and Manie were eliminated. With fewer climbs this year, seems the teams not riding for a sprinter should attack hard. Sky, Cannondale, etc.

[add] Great ride by Ciolek! I guess Chavanel didn't abandon after all. I had to leave for a while and missed everything from the first climb to the start of Poggio.

:-(

Nasty race. Looked pretty miserable out there! I was hoping Chavanel would pull it off but still a great effort.

Nasty weather? I hope it continues in Flanders and Roubaix. This was it will weed out the Spanish and the Italians (most of them).

That must be fun at 25 mph with 7% body fat.

Hey, I'm trying to collect the bits for the boy's next bike.

Looking for a set of Campy hubs, 9/10/11, silver, Daytona level is fine, trying to make the budget here.

Bike is a '74 Raleigh Gran Sport that will have a complete Veloce 9 speed group with brifters.

Trying to get his bike done, as well as my '97 Vitus with silver Record Ti group, then we'll ride STP together.

Anyway, anyone have suitable hubs out there?

Joe Bob 03-17-2013 08:27 PM

I have some incomplete Chorus calipers, needs brake pads and holders, a 27.2 seat post, polished aero with logo, or a cheapy ATAX black anodized, a Rolls San Marco seat....

jyl 03-18-2013 07:29 AM

I'm set for all that stuff, thanks. Well, do need a post and seat. Think the old 531 frame needs a smaller post but will measure. Gonna find him a used Brooks Pro.

I don't really get the point of the fat wheel bikes. Are they just for riding on sand?

Joe Bob 03-18-2013 07:25 PM

And snow.....downhill......fast......
