Great pics ^^^!
For you early risers and in case some might have interest, I just spotted this rare first year Cannondale on fleabay - cheap and ends today-. Not mine and don't know the seller. Seller is located in Kaposwin (Tacoma area) WA and will not ship  The trailer trash is a pass but the bike is a grab it now. Rare collectable piece of mtn bike history. I used to own a 1985 SM-500 yellow frame with roller cam brakes. The listed bike looks to be a first year 1984 and positive no later than 1985. They have the funky 24 in the rear and 26 front. Ps. I still have my Cannondale panniers from 1980. Have seen some great times all along the east coast. Cheers MOMBAT: 1984 Cannondale |

I powdercoat it so some of the detail is lost on the lugs. The seat tube lug is stainless, but I only polished off the seat clamp portion.

It may be a time-suck, Bernie - but that is true artisan work. This is as much a functional machine as it is an aesthetic thrill.
Love it! angela |

Bernie,
You are kicking my rear! I am at the same stage on my PX-10 and your work is beautiful! I am painting part of the lugs as per the original factory and not far from doing that right now. Keep up the good work! Joe A |

You can go ahead and post pix as you go through the restoration and we'll critique you and keep you motivated. Who knows? Maybe some of us will donate parts for the project!
