Grrrrr. I'm ruing the day I threw away a big ol' plastic bucket of skanky, beat up water bottles, including oh, coca-cola, zed, campagnolo, tdf.

Set the saddle level or even nose up a bit. Tipping the saddle nose down makes you slide toward the narrow nose of the saddle which is the least comfortable place to sit, and increases the pressure on your hands as they are forced to push you backwards. Then practice folding yourself at the hips with your spine straight (flat back), instead of curving your spine (hump back). Finally, old school race bikes are meant to be ridden hard, which means that more of your weight is supported by legs rather than by crotch. When riding easy, shifting to a higher gear can preserve the legs' role in supporting you.

I've adjusted the seat some. I need to take a current pic. But I still think a newer saddle would help. That old Windsor is pretty sad.

Awesome Sid and Curt... going toe-clips.
That's the vintage spirit. Sid- PM me for info if you might consider a new leather re-hide but on a pre-owned Brooks frame. There's a fellow in NJ whom I highly recommend. Its a side hobby for him but does beautiful work, all handmade custom.... extreme reasonable, more a labor of love. Additionally, will tool in the side of the saddle any logo or artwork. I think he could even do a Porsche crest. More important is comfort. This is a first season for me using one of his saddles. Right out of the box, first time I ever had a leather saddle feel right.

Could you go ahead and send that info?
And I'm still adjusting to the toe clips. I need some better shoes to wear with them. My nikes don't fit well. |

Trash find.......looks fixable. 26 inch wheels, Shimano 7 speed gearing, Ritchey wheels. Needs tires, seat and post. 27.0 is the post size.....nothing fancy needed for a seat, tire size is 26x.1.5.
Anyone have some spare parts for sale, trade or barter?

JB, I might have an American Classic seat post for you. Its a long one, but the seat clamp bolt has a little rust on it. I am sure it will come loose if you soak it for a few days. Let me look in a few days. you can have it

No hurry, just another project......%^)
Googled "Zaskar"......looks like in it's time it was a pricey bike. How do you test the RockShox for proper function?
