As far as the adds go (I'm watching from recorded content so FF through the adds)
But the decision to badger viewers with the same adds many times an hour through a long event like this seems counter productive. Completely turns me off to the product that has assaulted me like that! Still really enjoying the race! Cheers Richard |

German engineering dominates.
BMW wins in DP, Audi in GT, and Porsche in GTX. Congrats to Alex Job Racing for their GT victory (even if it was in an Audi).

Wow, other than the Caymans time for Porsche to get out of motorsports? Seem to be getting farther and farther behind in competition.

As far as the adds go I recorded it then start watching about 2 hours into the race this morning. Zip thru Billy Joe Jim Bob, ( and NO there is no way on God's green earth I'm watching that garbage), and back to the race. I was with in 15 minutes of the actual finish. Worked well.
Are the Francis' & Ganassi sleeping with each other? Of course the were the class of the field. crashcar stuck it to the Fords and Chevys. Very crashcar like. Good racing though in GT. Kudos to the Audi's & Ferraris.

I think its become something of a joke for him and his family. I don't mind.
Pretty good finish to the race. I had to drop out of the thread here cause I was an hour and a half behind the broadcast. So didn't want to get spoiled. Then my son came in asking for a haircut at 12min before the end. I'll have go back and watch exactly what happened. Can't miss the chance of him being ready for a haircut, he's really going for the shaggy look these days, so its rare for him to volunteer. I really enjoy sharing the race with you all here, not quite like being there, but better than just watching if by myself, thanks Cheers Richard |

The other thread got me thinking. This year was a good race. It made for good TV. I ended up watching most of the coverage on a delayed basis but found the excitement was still there.
Glad to see JPM on the podium. He seems like a nice guy. Not so happy that the only winning Porsche was a Cayman. |

did not read the entire thread, so this may have been said. Hurley came to the PCA area on Sunday and in answer to a question basically said wait for the 991 derived race car. The current model does not have the aero stuff of the other cars. He says Porsche has figured it out. Will wait and see. He also said the Audis were sandbagging and the last hour would be interesting as they put their foot into it. From my view, that seems to be what happened. They were trying to avoid additional weight, restrictions, etc.
On a personal note, I would say the PCA Florida folks did a great job in pulling the hospitality tent together. Porsche on the other hand had Private Event only and were pretty stand offish

Kudos to the Florida PCA guys who put on the 24 at Daytona event. Always outstanding. Thanks.

Yes the pca people did good, was a little disappointed they didn't have the TV running all night like last year......
I snuck into the Porsche tent without the special black wristband.... The steak and salmon were delicious....... The black wristbands were given only to the dealers to hand out to whomever they chose....

Best part of the race: knowing I'll be busy for weeks repairing three BMWs and replacing all of the crashed up spares.
