I can't believe this thread has gone over a year without an update.
Today's pet peeve - stores that charge different prices online vs in the store. I need a shirt and tie for a funeral tomorrow. Searched the JC Penney website at the restaurant while we were waiting for our food, found a shirt on sale - $19.99. Drove to the store, picked it up, went to check out. $19.99? Nope. $50.00. I can get 20% off if I use my non-existent JC Penney card. I asked the checkout girl if I could order another one online and return it on this receipt, she couldn't come up with a reason why that wouldn't work, so that's what I'm going to do. |

As far as the SKU numbers matching, I bought it for pick up at the store, and when I searched for it I made sure to only search items in stock at the local store. So unless I screwed up something, and I've been known to do that when shopping online, it should be the same shirt. I thought I read somewhere that some store's apps used your phone's location, and when you were in or near the store it adjusted the displayed price to match the price in the store. I couldn't tell you if Penney's does that because I couldn't get a strong enough signal to load their page when I was at the checkout. Still, changing a price from $19.99 to $50 is total B.S. |
You can usually order on line and pick up in the store as well.
At least here in Europe... so with a smart phone... you can check and order while in the shop :D just don't use the app, website and say no to geo location thingie |
Rockfan: all in good fun (green means sarcasm or joking around).
I agree, they are taking advantage of the those who need something asap. I can see charging a little more for the cost of keeping a physical store but that price difference is way out of line. Along those lines, I've seen online prices that were more than when I went into the store to buy an item. Go figure. |

I'm personally pretty conservative and socially a little to the left of center but I'm pretty tired of the victim mongers...accountability has apparently become "victim shaming." When did "sleep with dogs, expect fleas" become unreasonable?

Food service businesses that actively clean around you getting your food.
Do that schit when your closed and done for the day. Example; pizza place windexing the glass display 'near' where the food is. I see that, I leave and never return. Believe me, I am not a neat freak nor germaphobe. And another honorable mention to those brilliant people that believe that honeycomb gold BBS wheels look good on an air cooled 911 --- they don't! That is the most hideous looking wheel ever produced. |

Waiters and waitresses that come over to your table and ask you how everything is, as they watch you put a fork full of food in your mouth.

A bit of a peeve there for me... |
Given the recent weather....clueless drivers, particularly those driving in the pouring rain with no lights on! idiots

NJ Department of Motor Vehicles.
Today - Seller put his drivers license# in a spot labelled DL#, across from his name on the title. One line up is 'Lienholder' which was left blank. Claim that DL# is for lienholder, now I need to go back to the seller and get a notarized bill of sale to get a title. All for a $1000 beater. Years ago, boat trailer. Seller jumped registration, but I had complete chain of ownership, along with bill of sale for boat and trailer. NJ wouldn't register trailer, person at the counter actually told me to register it as a homemade trailer. |
Dudes driving lifted trucks without mud flaps. Getting two rooster tails on my windshield is irritating but how they throw rocks and chip off break windshields is another. Needs to be a law since these Neanderthals either are clueless or don’t give a rip.

Pet Peeve for the day. Grocery shoppers who park their cart on one side of the aisle, then stand across from it so you can't get through. These people never seem to know what they want either, so they just stand there and stare at the shelves. |

The "<blank> doesn't age" bit, currently centering around Keanu Reeves. Reeves looks like he's in his 50s - what they're really saying isn't that he looks young; they're saying "wow, someone in their 50s doesn't look as disgusting as I expected." I get it - I was an idiot kid once, too, who thought over 50 was ancient. I don't remember being so vocal about it when I was younger.

This is a new one for me - those damn serve-yourself ordering kiosks on the tables at sit down restaurants. Seems the chains are adopting them. Went Olive Garden and one other one (maybe Longhorn Steakhouse?j in the past couple months and they expect you to use these things. A waitress takes your drink order and tells you to order from the machine. The bill arrives and you swipe your card on the machine. It gives you options for a tip. Why am I tipping a computer? I give 10% because the food does arrive by human hand, but otherwise it’s serve yourself. I hate it, and won’t be going back.
|
^ hate those as well. Not going back either. Too many people with low paying jobs to lose employment to more machines so the company can make more.
Different reasons but same outcome. |
old, rich, white dudes on forum's complaining about 1st world problems :D

Going out to eat is not a "treat". Do not expect it to be and you won't be disappointed.
If you are going to put yourself at RISK ---- by trusting some place to feed you --- you have no legitimate platform from which to complain. That is all........ |
Having the responsibility to fix problems, but due to management considerations out of my control, lacking the tools to do so.

Used car dealers who buy Mercedes/BMW/Porsche at auction not running, then bring it to me , expecting me to fix it at a cut rate so they can make a profit.
I just got one , that has been to 3 local shops who cannot fix it . What makes them think I have any desire to spend countless hours at a cut rate , just so they can make a buck. I do not have strong enough words for how bad I want these guys to just fk off . Never consider sending my any gravy work, only the **** boxes that no one else can fix |
