Given the recent weather....clueless drivers, particularly those driving in the pouring rain with no lights on! idiots

dad911 06-01-2019 06:05 PM

NJ Department of Motor Vehicles.

Today - Seller put his drivers license# in a spot labelled DL#, across from his name on the title. One line up is 'Lienholder' which was left blank. Claim that DL# is for lienholder, now I need to go back to the seller and get a notarized bill of sale to get a title.

All for a $1000 beater.

Years ago, boat trailer. Seller jumped registration, but I had complete chain of ownership, along with bill of sale for boat and trailer. NJ wouldn't register trailer, person at the counter actually told me to register it as a homemade trailer.

Dudes driving lifted trucks without mud flaps. Getting two rooster tails on my windshield is irritating but how they throw rocks and chip off break windshields is another. Needs to be a law since these Neanderthals either are clueless or don’t give a rip.

People who try to turn every thread political so they can claim it belongs in PARF.

Picked up the online ordered shirt today, checked the tag with the barcode, the sku matches the shirt I bought Friday night. Brought it back in the store with the original receipt, returned it. I feel better now.

Pet Peeve for the day. Grocery shoppers who park their cart on one side of the aisle, then stand across from it so you can't get through. These people never seem to know what they want either, so they just stand there and stare at the shelves.

Yup. That's an easy fix though. You should see the look of shock on their face when I just move their cart away from them so I can get through.

I wonder if you could get an app for this for your phone? Woundn't be as loud though, I'm guessing.....

The "<blank> doesn't age" bit, currently centering around Keanu Reeves. Reeves looks like he's in his 50s - what they're really saying isn't that he looks young; they're saying "wow, someone in their 50s doesn't look as disgusting as I expected." I get it - I was an idiot kid once, too, who thought over 50 was ancient. I don't remember being so vocal about it when I was younger.

This is a new one for me - those damn serve-yourself ordering kiosks on the tables at sit down restaurants. Seems the chains are adopting them. Went Olive Garden and one other one (maybe Longhorn Steakhouse?j in the past couple months and they expect you to use these things. A waitress takes your drink order and tells you to order from the machine. The bill arrives and you swipe your card on the machine. It gives you options for a tip. Why am I tipping a computer? I give 10% because the food does arrive by human hand, but otherwise it’s serve yourself. I hate it, and won’t be going back.

RSBob 06-04-2019 02:03 PM

^ hate those as well. Not going back either. Too many people with low paying jobs to lose employment to more machines so the company can make more.

Different reasons but same outcome.

Going out to eat is not a "treat". Do not expect it to be and you won't be disappointed.

If you are going to put yourself at RISK ---- by trusting some place to feed you --- you have no legitimate platform from which to complain.

That is all........

Having the responsibility to fix problems, but due to management considerations out of my control, lacking the tools to do so.

You literally just described and inordinately large part of my role.

Also being on vacation this week.... clueless tourists are becoming a pet peeve.

That link set the all time record for pop ups. I couldn't stop the page from jumping. Pet Peeve.

Oh yeah, install pop up blocker. Then my newspaper won't load. And the notices that you are using a pop up blocker, what are you, a communist? Pet Peeve.

I didn't have any peeves when I was young and poor - after all, I knew everything.

Sounds like my last job. Lots of responsibility without any authority.

Never mind the auto teller check outs, what about the no teller banks? Like they need the money.

I was shopping a few years back and came across just that. A female human, (she was no lady) had had her cart on one side and was staring at the other shelf and just blocking the aisle. I said, "excuse me" and she glared at me and said just a minute, and did not move, just went back to browsing. I turned around and went the other way, and a few aisles later there she was again, total road block. This time, I just gave her cart an big shove, and it rolled off and she waddled after it. I finished my shopping and she was having a hissy fit. I just grabbed my item, and ignored her. She got my message. I never said a word to her.

Used car dealers who buy Mercedes/BMW/Porsche at auction not running, then bring it to me , expecting me to fix it at a cut rate so they can make a profit.
I just got one , that has been to 3 local shops who cannot fix it . What makes them think I have any desire to spend countless hours at a cut rate , just so they can make a buck.
I do not have strong enough words for how bad I want these guys to just fk off .
Never consider sending my any gravy work, only the **** boxes that no one else can fix
