Once in a lifetime Barn Find
Just brought her home, Original Owner, Viet Nam Vet bought this car new in 1969 after he came home from the war. 1969 911S Targa, 42,000 miles, the car has been in a barn well preserved since 1974, what a find. II'm going to bring it back the way it was from the factory, show quality and yes she will be drivin no trailer queens. Only 1200 produces, no rust, never in an accident, great example.

Awesome find!

how do you guys find these things?
|
Nice find, By that I mean the car finding you to take it over and bring it to the standard it deserves. It will be fun to watch it come around.
Cheers Richard |
Great score. The beauty is that you can be into that thing up to 6-figures and still be OK.

How many of these "bought it after returning from "Nam" stories are out there. This is the forth one I've read about in the last two weeks. Pretty cool stuff me thinks.

Congrats on your find and new project. Keep the pics coming!

Very cool! Great find.

Looks like it's gone to a good home. is it 6803/319 Ossi Blue? Any special options like an Al decklid, sport seats? Many 69s didn't have them.
Dash and rear decklid/grill are unique, so hold onto them. |
Did I mention that I hate you? Excellent find!

A diamond in the rough to be sure!

i'm just gonna say it;
i have a man-crush on you..damn!! i am glad it is with you..you will do that car right!! |
Very very cool. Congrats. There's a 69S (in similar condition) languishing in the back room of a friend's shop that I've been trying to buy for nearly 5 years now. Fingers crossed I'll get to start a thread like this one someday...
