Two bombs go off at the Boston Marathon

Same could be said for any group of people. How do you actually do it?

Well in this case the Baptists Church hierarchy should have had a sit down with this Pastor quite some time ago. Something a long the lines of mellow out or you are out.



Also, seeing the news about the making of the bomb in a pressure cooker made sense of the appearance of the blast. Looked to be a mostly upward direction to the blast, something of a help in reducing the surrounding causalities.
I am growing weary of the constant replays of the blast. News bombardment, think Ill take a break today.

I really hate the liberalization of the term "terrorism." Currently, no one knows, except the culprits, the reason behind the bombings. The American Revolution was an act of terrorism against the English government. If it wasn't for "terrorism" the USA would not exist and we would all be eating crumpets, have bad teeth and standing up for God Save the Queen at sporting events. Terrorism in that instance was an act or patriotism.

And considering the number of patriot groups in the US has increased from 39 to well over 180 in the past 5 years, that is a possibility.

CNN just reporting significant breakthrough in case.
Possible ID of suspect. Have video of person placing bomb on ground.
Very impressive work done by authorities.

Hypothetical: it was some guy trying to kill his ex wife, and thought a bomb in a public square was the most efficient way.

Surprised to see a mailbox where a large crowd is and exactly where the package / device was sitting. (I'm not going to post the pics - probably get ripped for that - but its all over the NBC news site and release by FBI photos) Whats up with that Boston?

Exactly. And by the color of the box, it appears to be a storage box, not a public drop box, and is accessible only with a key. They are bolted to the concrete, not likely to be removed for an event.

Lots of confusion and now, the statements reflect only an identifiable image of an individual has been secured. Who it is is still unknown.

Mailboxes - They make for a potential device drop out of sight, just like those advertising props or covered garbage cans. For security and at special events where large crowds may gather, other cities remove them. I'm unable to see the detail from photos so I'm not sure what type Boston has for the slot. And as just mentioned, might be for another use, secured by a lock.

So if they have a pic... I guess the question is - do they keep it close to the vest and look for themselves?

Or do they ask the public to help? They'd probably find the person quickly, but might not find them in one piece of the public helped.
