Is it that car dealerships don't see the same volume of repeat customers, barring corporate accounts, as say your corner coffee shop so getting every penny at any cost has little effect on overall business?

So I sent an email to the General Manager and the General sales manager yesterday afternoon. I left a phone message with the General sales Manager as well.
I called the sales rep back, and he agreed that he was not confused by the deal, he understood the terms we had all agreed upon (this includes the used car manager he was in contact with). My e-mail message indicated that I still wished to close the agreed upon transaction - even though I was expecting them to respond with a new price. But I have no response - from anyone. Even if it was a mistake I would have expected a response.

They had someone walk up and pay full price, so you got stiffed. I'd let it go. There must be more Volvos to buy, last time I heard, they are a pretty big manufacturer.
![]() I would NEVER buy a used (every day) car from a dealer. G |

This sounds familiar:
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/off-topic-discussions/739989-bait-switch-dealership.html In this modern world, I have come to the conclusion that if you are dealing with a dishonest dealer there is little you can do until you arrive in person to complete the deal. I ended up getting my car in Detroit and had a good experience. I believe the other dealer I initially used was playing a game with the car trying to generate business. |
