Spreading Mom's ashes in Germany...

I'm going the first part of October, with my wife, my sister and brother in law. We are taking a portion of my Mom's ashes and spreading them out in Lubeck, where she lived for a few years in her 20's, one of the favorite times in her life.
The plans are fly into Vienna, onto Salzburg then up through Germany ending in Lubeck.
We are hitting Austria for her too, ideas on what not to miss? Travel tips? Thanks in advance.

That's a lot of driving. Vienna is so awesome. Must see the Spanish Riding School. I'm not a horse guy and I was blown away. The obvious stuff like Belvedere, Schoenbruenn, Sacher Hotel, etc. I wanted to drive through Linz to Salzburg last time, but we ended up going to see friends on the way to Venice via Knittelfeld and then St. Veit. Very pretty drive. If you go that route, be sure to pot around Woerthersee betwen Klagenfurt and Velden. Looks like a jigsaw puzzle or calendar cover. Then from Klagenfurt back to Salzburg, you MUST visit the original Porsche Museum in Gmuend, which is right off the hwy. I think it's 7 Euros and the place really deserves our support. Read up on it. Salzburg is so beautiful. Wish I hadn't forgotten to go through Hallstatt on the way there last time. That whole drive up to Munich is breathtaking scenery. Don't forget the vignette decal you need to drive on hwys. in Austria. You can buy them everywhere.

DO NOT tell anyone what you are doing.

I'm sure it violates any number of international treaties.

Just do it.

Not sure how you'll be able to explain the container of grey powder to the TSA.
Putting it inside something like a metal flashlight might be worse.
It's a beautiful idea, and I'm sorry to be a downer, just going over the considerations.

You probably shouldn't answer online...
