I think I may wait a few years and look into doing the same...

Well, remember it is 2014, meaning that will be a 10 year old car next year ...

I bought my 993 when it was 9 years old and it was at the bottom of the depreciation, I think.

The 997 will be interesting to watch. The sportier models with the 6 speed may be a new collector item. You know the GT3 already is ...

Standard 997s are already popping up for under $30k, it won't be long until we have a lot of great water cooled prices for not much money. I'd like to pick up a 997S for around $25k in a few years, I think it will absolutely happen. The funner question - will the depreciating 997 make 996TT prices continue to drop? Because even though I prefer the 997 styling, I would take a 996TT over a 997 all day long.

I was hoping to see the GT3 drop in value, but it's not going to happen. Very rare to see one for under $50k. With the 997 GT3 going up in value, I won't be shocked to see the 996 GT3 start appreciating as well.

All GT3s with manual transmissions will appreciate well.

I know that there are a lot of questions that would need to be asked, but what does everyone think of this C4 Cab and its price?

Cabs are the cheapest 996's from what I've seen. That car should be pretty much perfect at that price.

Supposedly the 997 GT3 RS 4.0 (last with a manual) is trading for double MSRP. Pretty good for a car that's only a few years old.

Hopefully this won't prevent people from driving them. I still have never seen one in person.

Ha ha ha. Someone just posted that gold car on my local board. It's selling for $13K. Based on the photos, I see nothing but fun for the next owner.

I know it's not a 996, but this seems to fit in here:

I would feel bad abusing that 997 the way I intend to abuse a 996.
