Is the GT3 better than the TT?

I have heard some say that the GT3 is actually nimbler that the TT and provides a more spirited driving experience. I drove a TT and was shocked at what that car could do. I can't imagine something better IMO but they have a devote following...

The TT is a very good grand touring car, the GT3 is a full on sports car. It's the modern reincarnation of the 2.7 RS. Both great cars, but very different cars.

What do you guys think of a cab with a hard top? Anyone driven one or owned one? What are they like?

The hard top fits very well, when it's attached the noise is reduced to that of a normal coupe and the added bonus in my climate is the rear window defogger. Be careful if you buy one second hand that it has the plastic trim cover pieces for the locks and front latch. I walked away without those pieces and I'm having a terrible time finding them after the fact.

The deal was struck on the 2004 C4S with 92,000 miles after a good PPI result. I then proceeded to jump in the car the following morning and road tripped it to Seattle 325 miles and back the next day. Temps were over 100 on a good portion of the route. The car was flawless. It is much more of a GT car and more refined certainly than the older 911's I have driven but it does really wake up when pushed and respond well. Great power delivery, outstanding brakes, everything worked really well. I have a few things I want to do to improve it this winter and probably some preventative maintenance items but for now I am quite pleased. These things are a lot of machine for the money and I love the looks of the wide body.

Congratulations Jerry, well done! Beautiful car, the tint really works for it.

Congrats!
Will you put the Yakima box on it for ski season? Colours kind of work...

A guy in Seattle posted a 2003 version of this car with 114,000 on it for $19.975 on Rennlist - I think it sold about 5 minutes after he posted it.
The Yakima box will not go on this car but good eye.

The color is seal gray. The wheels were on the options list. They are Sport Techno Wheels and added about $2,800 to the original sticker.

The 2003 and 04 C4S seem to be some of the better years, as they stiffened up the frame and other little refreshing tweeks from the earlier platforms.
That Seal Gray is a classy color, good score in sleepy Spokane.

I think the later cars are much heavier, so the added HP doesn't make a faster car.
But the interiors are better...

Except for the glovebox the interior isn't that much different. I like the late exterior styling but consider the early cars to be more fun. Many of the later "refinements" made it feel much more GT than sports car.
