But, I have seen some videos and stories of amazing home engineering out of people in various places including poor countries. His is a lot closer to flying than mine since I don't have one. I saw a show about a guy in Mexico somewhere that wanted his own jet pack ala James Bond, so he decided to build his own. Because the fuel was so expensive and hard to get, he figured out a way to make it himself. He has since sold his machine to lots of folks like universities, etc....
