A red car.
Not sure of the engine size, but if I had to guess i's day about 3 feet long, 2 1/2 feet high and about 2 feet wide.

OK serial, looks italian. Fiat maybe, 2 liter?

Shaun @ Tru6 03-26-2014 07:44 AM

Hood is up, has knock-offs looks like.

silverc4s 03-26-2014 08:01 AM

Ferrari 330?

Or a 275. Pretty nice car, whatever, as long as it's not a Corvette with a Tupperware body...;)

oldE 03-26-2014 08:55 AM

Henry,

I'll say Apollo with the 4.9 litre engine.

Love all three of the cars you have shown us.

Best

Italian is partly right.

Borrani wire wheels have knock off nuts.

Steel body.
The 330 was produced in 63 and the 275 was in 64.
The red car in the garage was designed in 1961.

Shaun @ Tru6 03-26-2014 09:39 AM

Then it should be an Apollo 5000 I would think.

1964 Apollo 5000 GT is correct. The design was a partnership between Milt Brown and Franco Scaglione and the bodies with interior were built in Turin Italy. The engine is a 4.9 liter Buick with aluminum heads.

OK so my original guess of two feet wide was way off.

Henry,

I must confess, I remember you mentioning your Apollo some time ago.
Memorable (and lovely) cars.

I'm pretty sure, when attempting to solve a mystery, you're allowed to use your memory....lol.

BTW Sammy: nice looking 2 liter.

BlueSkyJaunte 03-26-2014 10:51 AM

Awesome. Love the green, but then again I love the Buick Nailhead.

Who's your painter? My SC is due for a repaint.
