There was http://forums.pelicanparts.com/off-topic-discussions/277304-liberals-honor-why-did-shauns-500-check-bounce.html
Which Dr no had a hilarious retort on Joe's Lib quip. Quote:

I remember watching that train wreck in live time, saying to myself; "self, we might wanna sit this one out." And we did. |

Point taken, Sam. -it was a huge, drawn-out train-wreck.
But, the best part was how the rest of the board was going to have no part of such slimy actions. ..sheesh, so slimy... Shaun even found a way to deflect to blaming Bush in his apology. (a 2-page thread of Wow) And, yeah, Glen, I believe that after all his nastiness, he was guilted into submission and paid in full. ...painfully. Oh so painfully.

Oh man, I remember this one. Something about a "social experiment" or something of that sort. Was this the thread that finally got us PARF?

The most interesting part of these thread links are the folks I really admired (in the interweb world) who no longer post: Moneyguy, DD, and others, some who just post far less than before.
The song remains the same, however.

I have not found the original post re my asking for advice about whether my daughter should go to Cornell Univ in NY State or stay in Edmonton but the response that hit home most was "I would rather stick a fork in my eye than go to Cornell New York State".
Advice taken and thanks to that poster whoever you are. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Yes, our Russian comrade with his self-portrait & several wrecked cars. Utter jackamonkey!
I forget her name, but do you remember the gal who fell in love with a frankenPorsche which was Aubergine in colour, which she named 'Aubie' or something similar? She got everyone stirred up- partly due to her profile listing an interest in BDSM. I remember someone commented that owning an early 70's rust bucket 911 (likely made from several cars) was BDSM at its finest!
