Every single weapons engagement has been absolutely Effed up.
Most events that had a ships asset go do something had one of those highly though after LTJG's overseeing the action with the CO either in CIC or on the bridge. |

Show is entertaining... but then the extent of my Navy knowledge is that I drive past the USS Iowa on my way to work. However even a landlubber like me was "uh, diesel? Don't modern Navy ships run on turbines?" For that matter the "cruise ship" they got the diesel off of was the Queen Mary... which may have been coal/steam powered?

Hey, it's TV, it's entertainment. We try to do things as accurate as possible but writers, producers and directors can sometimes get in the way. The parachute propulsion thing was over the top for me, but wait until the season finale. You Navy guys are going to blow an effing gasket.

Anybody watching Season 3? So far it's really good, they've done a great job of taking the story forward.

I saw season 3 started... season 2 was just okay so I skipped DVRing it (3).

I've thought it's been good all along. I guess like most series it did get bogged down in the plot a bit in season 2 with less "action", but the storyline has stayed good IMO.
