Sweet Tom. I have no words. We never met. I was to meet you this next weekend. But through the emails we exchanged over the past year, about the ups and downs of your treatment, about your readings of Buddhism that brought you peace, I have met you. I told you in my last email that I wanted to meet you and hold your hand, talk to you, make you smile like you did in your emails...consider it done. With your spirit. You are a good man, Tom and you will never be gone from my memories. Hugs and kisses to your family and wife. May they rejoice in your kind ways and remember the happy times they shared with you. RIP.

R.I.P Tom. I never had the pleasure of meeting you, but by the class you exhibited here, I'm sure it would have been great. Godspeed to you, and my condolences to your family.

Condolences to his family & friends. Damn, this sort of thing seems to be happening too often lately. RIP Tom.

Tom made this BBS a better place.
And I can visit him often through his posts. God speed, my man.

Damn.
Tom was a gentleman. He will be missed. I had him in the PPOT white Santa a few years back and sent him paprika paste to cook with. He followed back up with me a few months later with several recipes that he cooked with it. A truly fantastic man. RIP Tom.

Was just thinking about Tom a bit this evening and pulled up his obit. It was succinct, just like Tom would have liked.
I think this line described him perfectly. Quote:
