Drop a "irish car bomb" in there...

Irish Car Bomb
The Irish Car Bomb is similar in style to the Boilermaker, using Bailey’s Irish Cream and Irish Whiskey dropped into a glass of Guinness. The only downside (well, maybe) is that you have to drink it quickly or the Bailey’s will curdle in the Guinness.
*****

Ingredients
1/2 oz Bailey’s Irish Cream
1/2 oz Irish Whiskey
1/2 pint Guinness
Instructions
Pour half a pint of chilled Guinness into a beer mug and let it settle
Take a shot glass filled with chilled Irish whiskey on the bottom and chilled Irish cream on top
Drop the shot glass into the Guinness and chug

Sierra Nevada and Anchor Steam both make some very tasty, thick beers, I love that stuff. Maybe we can go to Rubicon tomorrow after the Sac Republic game, oops, maybe not, it is Beer Week and I know that place will be packed.

Love Stouts and Porters, been getting into the Milk and Oatmeal Stouts. My current favorite is Keegan Ales Mother's Milk, but River Horse Oatmeal Milk Stout and Left Hand Nitro Milk Stout are both great stouts I've sampled lately.

I love a good stout. Back in my single days I had several buddies that would drop by my house knowing I always had cold beer in the fridge. I had to go to all stouts to get one guy to take the hint to bring the occasional six pack with him. In the end, I just like beer. If all the wine and hard liquor vanished I would miss it almost as much as if all the mosquitoes vanished.

I like 'em! I had not had a chocolate stout until recently, and it's a nice beer if you're only having one.
I've learned a lot more about beer since we bought a city lifestyle magazine and "have" to take a tour of some of the brewpubs in the city with our staff and reviewer whenever I'm in town. (Yes, life can suck sometimes.) I'm developing a taste for Saisons and sours. I've discovered good beers are best enjoyed one at a sitting.

If you are ever in Charleston, SC don't miss a chance to stop at Edmund's Oast. Dozens of beers and fantastic food.

Stouts and Chocolate stouts, I still like 'em.

Irish Channel stout is another good one.

I've just recently had a stout on tap from a local hot dog place that also has a bunch of craft beers on tap.

903 Brewery Sasquatch
Chocolate Imperial Milk Stout.
Then I found "Sasquatch Reserve" at a local store. They are, I think, the same thing, but the "Reserve" version has a higher ABV and is barrel aged.

Silly name, and it comes in a can, but wow, this stuff is inky black and viscous. It's hard to get over that it comes in a can, but I like it.

Guinness is good (of course) and I've had a few other stouts that are hit-and-miss and a few that are really great. I typically avoid anything that has any flavoring/crap added anywhere, including the name. So no chocolate stouts or coffee stouts or coffee chocolate stouts or ....

My go to for "oh, you don't think you like stouts?" is this -

Oh so yummy but more than one or two is way too filling. But if you are only going to have one beer with a good steak dinner, etc. then it is perfect.

My favorites are Blue Mountain Dark Hallow and Dogfish Head Worldwide Stout. Still haven't found anything I like more.

I love Founders Stouts. I may grab some this weekend.

Drank my last Word Wide Stout the other night. I tucked it away in December 2016.
