I'm not sure what could be done in a case like that but counseling by a qualified professional might be needed. No, not a professional hooker.

Do you know why men and women are so happy on their wedding day? The man is happy because he is marrying the woman who gives the best BJs he ever had. The woman is happy because she knows she will never be giving another BJ as long as she lives.
Just a tip for the young guys if you get married do no let her eat the wedding cake they put an ingredient in there that kills a woman's sex drive for life

Just to make the OP feel better... married 15 years, do it once a month or so...

I remember wathcing some TV show, and they mentioned that once a month or so is pretty average after being married for a while.

For those doing it 2-3 x per week in your 50's, I salute you! But, I don't think thats typical.

Been there. We weren't even married yet. She now lives alone and I'm married to a woman who is just the opposite. We're both much happier.

I must be another exception to the average. I have been married to my wife for 27 years. I feel fortunate if we get to business once every three or four months. I have just excepted it. Her drive is not there. I don't make waves about it because it just makes her feel like she is being pressured. When we do make love, it is always nice.
She is my best friend. We get along. We like doing the same things together. I value my relationship with her and I made a commitment the day I said "I do."

Thank you sir. I try to live by both those words in all I do. I'm a musician, I play in bars, Yes I have opportunities. However as Robert Cray once said "There are consequences to what we do", none of which I would be willing to sacrifice those two qualities for....thank you again for those kind words.

Well the vows weren't "To have and to hold as long as the sex shall last". I am with David and Dan and I am in it for the long haul regardless of what happens in the bedroom.

one or twice a month has been the average over most of it. Frustrating for me, who would like something more like twice a week. Wife can take it or leave it. Too tired, on period, yeast infection, headache, allergies. Those are the 5 go-to reasons for "no".

This is way, way more important than tallying the boinkage, but I understand the frustration that comes with a healthy partner who just shows no interest. I am blessed with a partner who is my best friend and who is also enthusiastic about sex. If we never did it again I could still die a happy man. I almost married a woman who didn't even wait to say, "I do" before she turned off the sex. I went through a long period of wondering what was wrong with me. In the end I decided there was nothing wrong with either of us, we were just in the wrong relationship.

First marriage: In my prime but sex life was a disaster. Turns out she was happy hanging with anyone else. She was actually not very good at all. Second marriage: I'm older so recovery time is longer, but we have to work around kids and life. So frequency varies 1x a week normally. On getaways close to daily. Being over 50, I have to say it has actually gotten better in lots of ways. We are a much better fit as a couple. It doesn't hurt that my wife is actually just a wonderful person.
