Rags-Caps game 6...holy crap!

Por_sha911 05-10-2015 08:03 PM

King Henry stole tonight's game.

Price stepped up Saturday night. Otherwise the Habs would have been setting up tee times today.

I've said it 1000 times before: you don't get the cup unless your goalie is playing super human hockey. You can still lose with an awesome goalie but you'll never win the cup with an average goalie.

Flames are done.

Good run for the boys this year.

Ducks were too good, too big and too talented for the Flames to handle.

Still not bad for a team at the front end of a "rebuild".

Ducks are my pick to win the Cup. They have been very lucky so far, but they also look good.

Hard to pick. The Caps nearly came back down by 3 goals. Can the Rags finish coming back from a 3-1 game deficit? This could be Ovie's year.

I choose to base my ratings on his past performance. Loser at the World Juniors, repeated loser at the Olympics, loser in NHL playoffs. Granted, he actually done something this year, he has looked very good some nights. But I don't see him winning the Cup.

If the Caps do win, credit barry Trotz and Holtby's .960 save percentage.

The Flames gave a good account of themselves while playing the ducks & it augurs well for next season. It was a shame to see their run ended on a 'cheese-ball goal'

Cheers

They're going to need all the luck.

Hawk's will have that ever so important rest during this post season. These guys have depth, still considered young but have that Championship experience and mostly confidence. I love how this is playing out :)

+100 Even if they don't advance, Trotz should get an award for what he's done with them this year.
Ovie has a bad track record of choking in the big games but maybe Trotz and found a way to get him on a different path.

The Hawks have to win this year. They are in deep salary trouble next year, with $65M committed to 15 players, and a cap of about $71M.

The Hawks have played 87 playoff games since 2010, Bruins are second with 79. I think they are about to slip back a notch.

May the best team win.

Just want to say thanks to the hockey fans here. It's nice to discuss this great sport without much if any partisan BS.

Couldn't agree more. Aside from the idiots who cheer for Toronto.

;)

You wonder how far they might have gone if Giordano had been healthy. But with the experience building season they had, their young core players should be even better next year.

Surprisingly, their play did not drop off significantly after the injury. So who knows....

And most of them were not even born when they last won it :D:rolleyes::D...

Way back when the country turned 100 (1967).

The Habs are looking out of gas. I think they are done. I'm surprised. I really thought they would take it to the eastern final.

Habs are done.
Was playing hockey tonight so I didn't see the game but the score indicates they didn't show up.?
Our hockey tonight was outstanding.
We may be getting old but we sure are slow....

Por_sha911 05-12-2015 09:35 PM

Rangers or Caps?
Final score?

Any predictions?
