Oh yeah, I'm sure this is faked too. Gimme a break...
Earth will be around for billions more years. Humans, probably not. It seems fairly likely that there will be a new intelligent species roaming the earth some day. And some day, they will get their first clear images of the moon's surface, and see tire tracks and a landing module. Imagine the stir that will cause.

They'll think their own equipment did it when they're putting up condos there.

Speaking of moon landing conspiracies, graphics card maker Nvidia used new light source modelling to show that it was, indeed, possible. Debunks the "wrong lighting" nuts. Pretty cool stuff.

Sadly for you, this will never happen, so make sure you get properly fitted for your dunce hat, as you will be wearing it a long time. Wouldn't want it to be too tight, you know.

This is one case where a little education might help. There's no shortage of very interesting books on the space program. Read a few, a little education often clears up misconceptions like yours. You might think a moon landing was impossible but knowing how they did it might impress you.

For years the scientists are showing us how other galaxies are looking, galaxies, black holes, and so on, and now we celebrate the pics of Pluto? WTF? Why didnt they take pics of that long time ago, with Hubble or so? Why did we have to send a probe flying 9 years?

Cmon!

Well, the answer to that question is fairly easy. All you have to do is find a description on the internet of what the mission consists of, and you will realize that it's not just about taking a picture of Pluto. Might take you two minutes.

Then there's the whole other argument that Pluto's a little ways away, more than you think, and a picture taken by the Hubble would be worthless compared to a picture taken by this probe.

Pluto, pic taken by Hubble:

New pic of Pluto:

But, like I said, it's not just about a picture of Pluto...

It's funny that Pluto was officially a planet when the New Horizons spacecraft was launched. Now, not so much.

Ok, so other galaxies are closer to us then Pluto? Of them we can get clear and sharp images, but for Pluto we have to send a probe.

Or are the photos of other galaxies just what they (or theire computers) THINK they look like?!

Anyways, I am just fed up with this "We have to discover how everything began", money wasting crap.

Other galaxies are larger than Pluto...

Hint, hint.

Given where you live, not sure how your money got wasted.

Having taken several courses on the topic and having a very high level understanding of the science involved, I'll take my chances, thanks.

Yeah, because nothing is more pointless than advancing our understanding of the universe that surrounds us. It's all science, what has science ever done for me?

I would strongly suggest that you research the everyday conveniences that you probably enjoy that are thanks to the space program. I would also suggest that you research the budget of NASA vs the greater federal budget as well as many other government programs. They are a TINY fraction of our budget, and do amazing things for very little money.

I doubt the cockroaches will care a whole lot.

The general public is skeptical of scientific endeavors simply because they don't have an understanding of where mankind is at from a science and engineering standpoint. They can't understand how it would be possible to actually put someone on the Moon and so they assume that since they can't understand it - no one can. Hence the conspiracy theories.

Right here where I work we accelerate negatively charged hydrogen ions to about 90% of the speed of light, strip the electrons off to leave only the protons, pack these protons into bunches of about 1x10^14 protons each and then fire these pulses of protons at a liquid mercury target at a rate of 60 times a second to produce neutrons that then get moderated by liquid hydrogen. Pretty much every step of the process is outside the understanding of the general public (most present company excluded, of course ) and yet we do it every day...

I love the sound he makes the second time he says thief when the fist connects.

I enjoyed wasting your money in return for faking images of galaxies and crap. Thanks!

Oh, I mean, when people say stuff like that it's a personal affront to me and everyone who worked hard to help you and others learn just a bit more about the Universe you live in. Sorry we bothered.
