Yeah, he's tiny. He could always be a horse jockey if MotoGP no longer works out for him!

Got in the track. A good friend gave us Dorna guest paddock passes. Atmosphere at track is crazy. Spanish fans rock. Went to Cheste last night for the big party. Totally nuts. I camped at the track campground. M80s burn outs and music till 5 AM. In Valencia tonight. Saw all the racers today. Hung out with Nicky. Will post a pic later. Almost all fans here are VR46 fans. A few 93 hats. NO 99 hats. I don't think anyone in Spain likes him. Gonna be epic manana!!!

Wow. What a race. Rossi charge was amazing. But not enough. 110,000 fans got their money's worth.

Marquez treated Lorenzo the way he should have treated Rossi. He was close enough to challenge safely but didn't. Rossi lost but Lorenzo and Marquez will never be the champion he is.

WOW! Crazy race! What a charge from Dani, too! At one point I thought Dani might actually dispense with Marc and Jorge!!! But in trying to overtake Marc, I think he gave Jorge enough of a break to pull away again.

So, now lets' go back to those extra points Rossi gave away in the wet/dry race at Misano!!! In that race, he could have placed higher with more points had he pitted sooner, instead of staying out so long! We predicted that those points would haunt him!

In the end, it boiled down to one simple truth. Rossi just isn't as fast as the three guys in front of him, when they are on their game.
I'd say Jorge left nothing out there. JR |

Didn't think it was possible a whole season of exciting racing could leave such a bad taste in my mouth.

I disagree. If Rossi had started from within the first two rows I think he'd be the champ. Jorge did win but not entirely on his own. Marky Marc didn't challenge Jorge as he should have or could have.

If, next year the two title contenders are MM and George, what sort of revelations might come out if the championship comes down to the wire and one or the other needs some extracurricular help like we witnessed here today?
To me, I saw it like this: Mark was the wingman; that was patently obvious. George was losing speed in the late stages. Marquez could have passed for the win anywhere on the track. Pedrosa suddenly found he had speed, having cooled his heels for lap after lap with no threats from VR. One attempt at a pass for second, he realized that Mark was going to be aggressive, and if both the Hondas crashed, Dani would be the one that had most of the 'splaining to do back at the pits, and this could have big permutations come contract time. Casey Stoner still has great speed. George might be looking for a new team soon. Dani knows he's never going to have the ride he has now.... |

Yes Jorge was losing some speed toward the end but that's due to deteriorating rear tire. I feel bad for Rossi. It's too bad he made bad decisions at the previous race trying to shut down Marc's taunting.

Jorge does seem to burn his tires up more than the others. I wonder if its his quick getaway that does it? Dani seems to have mastered handling his tires though his diminutive stature may have something to do with that.
I do hope that the league can do something about "national wingmen" in the future.
