Spent an entire summer drooling over a new one sitting on a Chrysler lot. Not sure they've aged very well though.

Aged exactly as well as a 944.

Gotta agree on this one, they look nearly identical. Both have a very 1980s look.

I'm a huge '80s car guy and love the Starion! Amazing cars.
What's interesting is that the 944 Turbo and Starion are near identical specs. Single cam, 8V head, big 4 cyl., turbo, intercooled and digital fuel injection but yet Porsche was able to squeeze 217hp from their car and Mitsubishi could only get to 176hp in their ESi-R spec top of the range.

I always lusted after those cars. I almost bought one off a used lot in the mid 90's except it was running bad and I was spooked by that.
Many years ago a SCCA SoloII Natl Champ (name is escaping me at the moment) jumped in my RX7 and took it for a spin at an Evolution Driving School, told me it reminded him of his old TSI that he won Championships with years ago. Because of that comment, I started looking for a TSI and did a lot of research on them. Some things I learned, they only have 2 fuel injectors, they do double duty working for 2 cylinders each. A common tuner swap was sourcing a Turbo Eclipse head to swap onto the engine block. It takes some mods but could be done. I was very close to buying one locally and then backed out at the last minute, I did not need another car project at the time. The styling of those cars always impressed me, such a great looking car.
