I agree. She's very impressive.

Go see Blue Is The Warmest Color. Some of the best acting I've ever seen. Also one of the saddest films ever.

Absolutely, the theme song was aweful. I was shocked and had a hard time sitting through the opening sequence because of the theme song.

Yes, I thought she did an excellent job and was a lovely bit of eye candy to boot.

The Spectre theme song is flat out horrid.

Now watching Archer. It is a super-spy kinda weekend...
Finish it off with Spy Hard

I also went to see it early - actually opening night.

Casino Royal is the high water mark for Bond films since Goldfinger, IMO. From the opening titles to the obligatory song to the action, it was a great reset. Not enough to make me forget the hideous Roger Moore stuff, but plenty good. And Eva Green... OMG. Have loved her since The Dreamers.

Spectre didn't work that well for me - I'd put it at the level of Quantum. And yes, the song was a fail for me; titles were ok. Action was well into the absurd level in a couple sequences. I didn't feel the Belucci encounter worked. I didn't feel the Seydoux relationship transition worked. And Waltz is no Goldfinger. Worst of all, there was a plot point that recalled Austin Powers...

I'd say an above average popcorn movie, but not a great end-of-era for Craig.

Saw it last night.

Casino Royale
Skyfall
Spectre

It was good. Can echo most of what's been posted. it seemed cobbled together which I guess is a combination of bad storytelling and bad editing. It could have been much better.

I liked the message. I liked the end.

Needed more Waltz though I think his character needed a bit more evil and bit less crazy. And the orchestrated events by Spectre should have told a cause-effect story all on their own.

Saw it today.
It was entertaining however, as mentioned above they miss the mark.

Funny how perceptions vary. To me it was the worst movie I've seen all year (best being the Martian). Went against all they had done with previous Craig Bonds (rebooting it to be more realistic, more gritty). This was the same new guy, but pretending to be the 60s bond. Didn't work for me at all. No plot. Desperately bringing back 60s clichés that were not integrated in the story..

3 minutes in, why would you try to kill the helicopter pilot ??? Just make him land !
Car chase was mediocre and totally unrealistic... the wingless plane catching the cars at the right time, please... The drill to the brain? Why did it not produce any effect ??? a modicum of suspension of disbelief, please ?!
I liked "the Man from uncle" 10x more (admittedly that's a low bar), at least it was funny on purpose, did not take itself seriously, and the cool old cars belonged... Now I get why Craig was giving interviews the way he did - he hated it as well... It wasn't godzilla horrible, but I thought they had gone a little more "bourne" lately which was more realistic, this was comedic...

Ironic.
The last movie I saw in a theatre was spiderman 3.

The wife is having a "bunko" party tonight that I'm definitely NOT invited to, and I don't feel like hanging at some dive with a bunch of drunks rooting for the chargers, so maybe I'll go see this movie.

I think it wrapped up this series well, although they could always twist things around to make another sequel.

Good:

Lea Seydoux
car chase with the AM DB10 and Jag CX-75 (959 cameo in the parking lot)
Red Bull helicopter stunts (painted gray but you quickly knew what it was if you are into airshows)

Bad:

song
brain drilling (I gave him the chopper and the airplane but then they went too far, too often)

Also agree regarding trying to kill the chopper pilot when you've just taken off- not a good idea.

Overall, a good action movie, but no Casino Royale.

I also saw Bridge of Spies and thought that was better (I saw it the day before and figured as much).
