Brrrr..... 60 degrees today, but 80s are in the forecast.
So glad not to have to endure your pain.

I live 4 miles from the Atlantic Ocean, there is a canal across the street from me, and a lake about 100 yards from my front door... I'm surprised I didn't flood.... sometimes just a full moon+high tide will get enough water in the basement to trigger the pump.... the confluence of a Nor'Easter usually means I have a wet basement for a few days.. In any event looks like 24 inches + on western Lawn Guyland... I'm getting out of here in a few short years...

I am in rural VA tonight. There was close to 3ft of snow in my drive due to drifting...but my old Toyota 4Runner went right through it (great in deep snow, not so much on ice). Just went out to the main road and back to make sure I can. It has pretty big mud & snows and is slightly lifted so it cleared. Love that thing. I bought it when I was stationed at Minot AFB ND to bust through drifts and it has never failed me yet. It was so cold there (usually well below 0F) and there was so little traffic that if you got stranded, your survival was unlikely.
Not going to shovel. Too deep and too long of a driveway. Just waiting for it to melt. I keep lots of supplies on hand, so no hurry to go anywhere. Once the wind stopped, it was not unpleasant out tonight. Grilled steaks for dinner (had to shovel a few steps out to the grill). Stay safe if you have to drive in it tomorrow morning.

Hurricanes, NorEasters and coastal blizzards all have a lot in common.
