Sorry, man. That really sucks.

Best of Luck Lee. In the divorce, get it over and done with as soon as possible, to allow the healing to start. |
sorry friend..it will all work out in the end..
it's gonna be alright. |
Good advice here.
I wish I had some of this encouragement when I went through this almost 20 years ago. I figured it out though and you will too. Sorry to hear your news. |
Lee, like I said in messages. We are here for you man. Let us know if you need anything! We need to get together soon!
|
Time for a deep breath followed by a new beginning.
|
You can try so hard to make something work (especially if the equation becomes constantly one-sided and unbalanced) that you quite honestly forget what it's like to be in a healthy relationship. What it's like to be truly happy. It can turn you into something you're really not.
|
Sorry to hear Lee, stay strong.
|
That's a tough pill to swallow. You'll be fine...And dare I say it, maybe even better in the long run.

i've been watching friends go through this. it's a combination of menopausal hormonal insanity and julia roberts movies.

And I also say keep your chin up. A rubber band can only stretch so far before it either snaps back or breaks. Sounds like you just need to snap back. |
Hang in there Lee. Sorry to hear this news.

It takes two dedicated partners to make a marriage work, one strong dedicated is not enough. Life is short/precious so remember the good times and try to forget the bad. Your daughter is number one priority followed VERY CLOSELY by your own mental health and happiness. You will get through this you have a support group right here. Good luck and keep moving forward .
|
As usual, great and heart felt advice from everyone. All I can add is for you to take care of yourself and believe in yourself. Sometimes we sort of lose our connections with ourselves during the years of trying to make things right and devoting the majority of our feelings and efforts toward a marriage and family. You can keep the family and even a civil relationship with the former spouse, but you have to relearn to love yourself again sometimes. This is what will make you strong.
|
Sorry to hear this Lee! You've raised a great daughter and have new opportunities in front of you.
Focus on the perspective of your future. |
Sorry Lee. It stings like hell I know. I was where you are now nearly 30 years ago and never re-married. Time to re-assess your life and move on. Maybe easier said than done but there it is bro.
|
Really sorry to hear this news Lee. As expected, the PPOT braintrust have passed on some very good advice here....so I can't really add much to that. After reading your thread sometime ago regarding the support you gave her in her pursuing her dream of flying 747s, it must certainly feel like a kick in the b*lls for her to lay this on you now....BUT, man you'll get through this! As many others have stated you always have us to turn to for support! Stay in touch!
|
I'm very sorry to hear it. Hopefully, you can get through it quickly and fairly cleanly.
Every time anything has ever happened to me that felt bad at the time, I've eventually been able to look back and realize that it lead me down a path where things ended up actually being better in the long run. I'm sure the same will be so for you. |
My sympathy and my advice: nothing you own is particularly important. You are further ahead to start over now with nothing than to fight for years over half your 'stuff'.
There is no quick fix. I'm sorry this happened to you. I've been there. |
Here ya go, Lee.....let Ritchie's music flow through your soul....it's all good, bro.....
