Location: Placerville, CA.... You know, the only place on Highway 50 between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe the you find signal lights. Above the fog most of the time and I can see the stars of the Milky Way 8 out of 10 nights. Kinda cool.....

Scruffy got into a scrap yesterday. Luckily my wife saw it (she actually broke it up) so this morning when Scruf was crying with a swollen-up face we had an idea of what was going on. She didn't win this one - she got a couple of good puncture wounds. $300 later and my 9 year-old free cat is on the mend - again.

Scruffy, meet Gusto. Gus the one eyed wonder cat. He cost me over four thousand in the first year with eye op's then it turned out he had a permanently dislocated knee cap. Jeez, cats - who'ed have 'em.
