The newest member of the colony, I named him Red. At first, he would run as soon as he saw me, now, he runs to me and rubs on me.:

Our neighbor Caleb went in for ankle surgery. He’s incapacitated for a week. We’ve been getting his groceries, taking care of the chickens, etc.

Saturday we’re driving home and see a kitten in the ditch. We already have too many pets. And Caleb is too drugged up to object so he just got a cat.

Junior now likes to come in and check out the house, and doesn’t object when I pick him up.

I have "distraction boxes" and extra keyboards on my desk for my assistants. They usually stomp on the active keyboard once and then take up residence in one of the boxes or on one of the other keyboards to supervise for the rest of the day...
